Not a tall but Keen on this kid after being delisted by Sydney as a rookie last year though Dean was the right choice with our 1 pick.
Outside mid with plenty of pace who has had injury issues. May be Geelong bound
Height: 184cm, Weight: 75.1kg, D.O.B: 21-04-1999

Ah outside mid is definitely not an issue Daicos and Sidebottom have that sorted and also WHE,Poulter and Chugg are other options and Noble can slot into a wing too

I keep telling you all Derksen is the only one who suits us he is a key forward and you people seem to forget THAT'S OUR MAIN ISSUE
Nah, we could use an extra intercept defender and a Key defender. I'm not worried about having a gun FF. You're putting a lot of faith in Derksen considering he's only played a handful of WAFL games

We have… Bianco waiting to get games… Tyler Brown has being playing quite well… and then we have Draper and Murley who are developing in the VFL

We have Dean who is coming back from injury and we can hit the natural for the key back but Derksen has played well in all his WAFL games and also dominated in the NTFL so he clearly is ready and also what other key forward do we have apart from Chek who is a midget?

I just think we will go to the National draft for a KF

The better KPF are generally high draft picks. The chance that you get a good one late in the draft, in the rookie draft or the MSD are remote.

If the club thinks that he can play 50+ AFL games then fine but generally all of the MSD players are not going to make it. The player with the most games from the MSD is our own John Noble who cops plenty of flack.

2019 MSD
Josh Deluca - Gone 6 games
Mitch Riordan - Still on AFL List 0 games
Kyle Dunkley - Gone 5 games
Lachlan Hosie - Gone 5 games
Ryan Gardner - Still on AFL List 32 games
Will Snelling - Still on AFL List 43 games
Jack Mayo - Still on AFL List 0 games
Cameron Sutcliffe - Gone 9 games
Dillon O'Reilly - Still on AFL List 0 games
Marlion Pickett - Still on AFL List 45 games 2 x premierships
John Noble - Still on AFL List 55 games
Cody Hirst - Gone 0 games

2021 MSD
Jacob Edwards - Still on AFL List 0 games
Jai Newcombe - Still on AFL List 18 games
Ash Johnson - Still on AFL List 0 games
Patrick Parnell - Still on AFL List 0 games
Ned Moyle - Still on AFL List 0 games
Alex Mirkov - Still on AFL List 0 games
Max Heath - Still on AFL List 0 games
James Peatling - Still on AFL List 8 games
Sam Durham - Still on AFL List 16 games
Matthew Parker - Still on AFL List 11 games
Will Collins - Still on AFL List 0 games
Lachlan McAndrew - Still on AFL List 0 games
Jed McEntee - Still on AFL List 4 games
Kalin Lane - Still on AFL List 0 games
Kye Declase - Still on AFL List 0 games
Charlie Ham - Still on AFL List 0 games
Jackson Callow KPF - Still on AFL List 2 games
Aiden Begg - Still on AFL List 3 games
Jordan Boyd - Still on AFL List 4 games
Cooper Sharman ~KPF - Still on AFL List 9 games

Connor West - Still on AFL List 13 games
Daniel Turner - Still on AFL List 0 games

Of the players picked up only Callow and maybe Sharman could be considered KPF's (unless I have missed anyone).

Of the names that have missed out on the MSD are: Wylie Buzza, Cam McLeod, Blake Schlensog, Matt Hammelmann, Paddy McCartin...

Lost his pace due to injuries.

The people who give Noble flack are dumb he is the 2nd best MSD pick Oat

Lemmey, Jefferson, Cadman and Scully all look promising to me.
Ah Lemmey isn't that good in reserves or seniors for the SANFL and Idk Jefferson or Cadman but imo we take Derksen this time if he doesn't pan out then we take one of those if we do we don't need to worry about a KPF

Of course you are absolutely correct in saying this, but the converse is also true, and that is that if we managed to snag a worthwhile KPP in the MSrD, it would be an epic win and set us up even better to attack our list deficiencies.

It all comes down to how highly we rate him. Derksen’s path actually recalls Kreuger’s for me, to a certain extent.

EDIT: Now the more that I read about him, the profile sounds Corey Gault-like.

And Kreuger and Derksen can be the future of our forwardline with Mihocek getting older

Nah he is a winger imo which is more important then an inside mid in the modern gamw

I’d have to disagree on this one.

Ed Langdon is probably the best winger in the game currently but you still take Oliver and Petracca over him any day of the week.

Was a rebounding defender originally… I remember being disappointed that they chose Chugg over him late in the rookie draft

Chugg has attributes and has a crack but I reckon Ling has the better disposal
