So can't get any more tickets off Ticketek
Don't know if that means it's sold out or not.
They used to communicate well on things like this, but haven't heard much.
Seems like a game that should be announced as fully ticketed
Yep trying to get tickets - surely not sold out!?!?

I think everybody knew the talent was there... that's why we were so pissed off with the performances and game plan.

Voss has done something that Teague couldn't ... and there's no guarantee even Clarko could turn us around this quickly.

We've gone from bottom 5 in a lot of key areas to top 5. I wouldn't look back at the last couple years as wasted though, we went through what we went through and its made us the team we are now.

I disagree.

There was talent there but we were always underpowered in the midfield. Cripps was at half rat-power and that left Walsh and Ed Curnow to do the heavy lifting.

A Brownlow level Cripps plus Walsh and then 2 more guns like Cerra and Hewett transforms the midfield from below par to competition leading.

And so much of what we've done this season is off the back of the midfield plus Curnow who hadn't played in 2 years.

In terms of the talented list I agree but it wasn't on the field for 2 years.

We're probably a gun ruckman short of a premiership list now. That patient list build from SOS is now paying off.

No doubt Cripps is back to his best, but he missed (almost) 2 games, and has played 2 in a different role, rucking around the ground. Walsh missed round 1, and has taken a while to get back to his best. Cerra missed a game, Hewett 2.
The additions have boosted us, but so much more of it is due to our set-ups at stoppage, and the way we play with handball.
We have more mids getting more possessions, but a lot of this is due to how we handball away from the contest, there's more possessions to receive.

Would just love to see that. And to top it all off, he gives the Collingwood cheer squad the 'Marc Murphy' experience as he slams through his 3rd for the afternoon...

$900 fine worth every cent!

Look at how many key players we have out now...

Last year we would struggle against this year's Eagles side... in fact, we lost to their WAFL side last year anyway let's not forget...

How long did Teague keep blokes in the side when they didn't deserve it? How many new players did he bring in? He hung onto the older statesmen hoping they could turn back the clock.

Both Cripps and Cerra were below their best v Sydney too...

Last year Walsh was having impact on games every week... only just started to build now.

Sure if we had Hewett, Charlie and Cerra last year we would've won maybe a couple more games but we wouldn't be anywhere near top3 at the half way point.

The game plan was extremely flawed. Selection integrity was inconsistent at best and the direction was heading nowhere. We basically relied on individual brilliance from a handful of players each week to keep us in games.

All of that has changed.

Can you honestly see us putting up horse shit performances like we did last year v Eagles, Giants (half the team didn't lay a tackle at half time), Norf, Port, Pies, Suns etc? No way player personnel was going to make much of a difference to the application in those games.

It's no secret I loved Murph but that's the moment he solidified himself as a Carlton legend to me. What a moment haha. He just understood what it meant to be Carlton.

Exactly. Numbers around the contest... how many times did we look outnumbered last year? This year it's the opposite...

Although there were all those times we weren't outnumbered around the contest, and the ball would come out to a free opponent who would waltz the ball into the forward 50 and deliver it lace out under no pressure

It's such a joke. The MCC is fully ticketed for another couple of rounds. When I went to secure seats a few days ago they only had a handful of seats in one bay of level 4 available, so I took what I could get. Then they open up other bays.
Same problem for me and still a problem for the * game. I think that is the end of full ticketing. They wonder why crowds are down that is a big part. I usually just drop in for a few neutral games a year but are not motivated enough to go on the ticketing site for a neutral game.

Yeah for a game like this just bite the bullet and announce fully ticketed early

Round 12 there is walk-up seating :thumbsu:

Watched most of the Pies Freo match last night. Game was played on a lake with water laying on the ground in spots when the game started. Freo over possessed the ball in the wet and got beaten back to the Pies goal on turnover. Cox being subbed off was a huge benefit to the Pies as his height wasn't needed and Henry popped up to kick 4.

Pies pressure was really high so we will need to bring the intensity. Play our game and we win comfortably.
