There’ll be a big hill walk, bit of washing done, then old mate & I are into the Committee Room at 6pm for the dinner (last year was soft shell crab!!!) & palate cleansing ales.

Pretty sure the game starts at 7pm…….after that…..who knows.😎👍

We should win but.

When I grow up I want to be Stig....

I've decided to take some brief time out of my honeymoon, in which my now wife and I agreed to use our devices as little as possible, in order to ask why the actual f JSOS has been omitted?

My first thought is managed/rested however I've not been able to confirm this given our Interwebs sabbatical.

Vossy's presser ...

There you have it folks!

On Jack Silvagni’s omission:

“’SOS’ has been really good for us in terms of the role he has played. It’s pretty clear that we’ve decided to play the two rucks, and that means one of them [De Koning or Pittonet] is going to have to spend more time forward.
“Nothing has really been taken off the table. One of the advantages - if you want to call it that - is we’ve been able to explore what we look like structurally. We’ve had to go to work really hard with some key personnel missing.

“We’ve learnt a lot about ourselves so we feel like we’ve got a couple of things where if we need to go with it, we’ll go with it.
“This is a good problem to have. You take a squad mentality into the season.”

On Silvagni’s reaction:

“There was obvious disappointment. Whenever you talk to a player saying they’re not in the team, there’s obvious disappointment.

“But he appreciates that we’re in a healthy position and hopefully in our experience, it pushes people to be better again.
That’s what we want to be about as a group.”

all I can say is, if you are currently on your honeymoon (congratulations) get the **** out of this thread and off this site - neither of you deserve the trauma

JSOS dropped but Motlop/Durdin hold their spot when their output hasn't been great overall recently. Would have thought either of those two could have made way for Owies and JSOS keeps his spot. Don't like it Vossy. If TDK isn't going to be number one ruck JSOS serves us better in the forward line.

this must be close to breaking a record for most number of posts/pages in a thread?

Appr 580 posts since last nights team announcement at 6.20pm.

Definitely a record in just over 18hrs for a Preview thread.

Vossy's presser ...

I have really enjoyed Voss' take on things this season. I think his observations of our failings in losses have been spot on, his excitement/optimism in wins justified and his explanation on selections or player specifics have been lucid and consistent. For the first time in years I do not feel like I'm being fed BS and spin.

Sorry ...ummmmm.....what 'devices' were you using on your honeymoon ?? :p :p

George Hewett news doesn’t sound ideal..

“He hasn’t got himself going yet, so we’re probably still a wait on that one.

“We’ve got to go through a few things next week to see what the next stage looks like.”

Jacks problem is that he looks like he is running through knee deep mud. Looks a struggle. In reality he has a reasonable tank and can run at pace.

Has always had that awkward Keanu Reeves gait. Thinking Point Break chase scene. He was never catching Patrick Swayze running like that.

On topic, if sore, he needs a rest. If not sore he can replace anyone, anywhere on the field and will do as good a job as the person he is replacing (Charlie and Walsh excluded)
