I’m very surprised by this one thing
In the NFL instead of tackling
The idea of last few years was just to focus on ball and tap it out of opponents hands right
So why don’t the AFL or the forward have a set play where a crumpet times run perfectly and the forward doesn’t even try and mark ball but taps it or to Crumber for open in play shot at goal ?

A la Big Nick when resting forward? Many forward line marking contests he’d treat as a rucking opportunity and did it well.

Big game, port played with decent intensity last week they just had no one who could take a mark on the field, they are also a quality midfield so if they get on top of us there it could be a tough game.

Big chance to see how the boys respond to a loss as well, we have been slowly creeping away from that overuse handball out of the middle back to the chuck it on the boot style football of previous years, hopefully that corrects itself.

I want him in. I can't wait for him to come back in. I thought he'd done enough to get back in, but I'm not at all surprised that he's not back yet.
The club obviously thinks he isn't quite ready yet. Been out for a long time, longer than Walsh and didn't have the same fitness/endurance base that freakazoid Walshy has.
Based on his high possession count last week off half back, he obviously covered a lot of ground, so he must be pretty close.

Exciting problem to have.

We need him back for his kicking he can hit hard penetrating kicks on the 45 that open the field
He can do what McGovern does minus intercept marking

Not the perfect matchup but there very well may be a rotational swap between the defenders depending on if one of those forwards (hopefully not) starts causing a few headaches…

Stocks physicality would have been a perfect matchup, let’s hope the boys work well together as a unit and can limit most of them having to much of a big influence…
