I was thinking Huey Newy and Lewy.
You think Newman was bad against GC? How so?
You mean like what happened against Hawthorn with us doing the same with CJ with LOB in the team?
I’m somewhat amazed Kemp isn’t being developed for this rolePlowman can't play the third tall role and if you don't have a third tall in your backline then you are in a lot of trouble.
We were so much better with McGovern in the team. Before that there was a run of games where Marchbank played and played well and it was a purple patch for us.
Plowman is more of a medium/small defender like Newman but when he is in our side he has been the third tall, but he doesn't play that way.
Third tall needs to be tall, play tall, take marks and spoil strongly. They need to have pace to make the contest and be able to give the talls a chop out. Play off their man, read the play, get in the hole and take intercept marks. Plowman lacks all of these qualities. He shouldn't be competing with our third talls who are McGovern, Marchbank and Parks. He is competing with guys like Newman, Docherty and Williamson and he's a fair way off their ability. It's not just an individual lock down role, it's an important part of a backlines team defence.
It is what it is. Regular injuries in this area have hammered us for years. This might be one of the list holes we look to fill come season's end. Parks is all we have right now and hopefully he can go well for us.
This is where we really need Marchbank and McGovern up and going.
In a half. Then he dislocates his knee because why bother with opposition like that?Tredrea to lace up and snag 8.
best contact the club - or that stupid, overly emotive term "reach out"Will there be a Carlton shop at the G to buy some merchandise? Need to get the little one some suitable Blues gear.
Yeah, was there - and I'd forgotten that Bells was their home base! Good recall, AD!In a half. Then he dislocates his knee because why bother with opposition like that?
Then I meet friends for dinner. At Bell's pub which just happens to be Port's supporter base that day.
Top day all round really.
JUst watched replay of Q3.For 15 minutes in the 3rd quarter he was a headless chook, trying to square up after getting a in a Barney earlier in the quarter.
Cost us goals & any momentum.
Or people who verbally say ASAP!best contact the club - or that stupid, overly emotive term "reach out"
I suggested here that Marchbank is a direct upgrade on Plowman and people told me they are much different players - granted, they are. One is very good at playing to his size, the other is not, and must play much smaller to have meaningful impact.Plowman can't play the third tall role and if you don't have a third tall in your backline then you are in a lot of trouble.

Agree. How long does the week between games feel after losing a game like we did? Excruciating

I reckon I watched the replay of the first 3 rounds at least 3 times each and watched a lot of talk show segments on Carlton.
