don’t disagree that the next 10 are 50:50 games but we are currently running at 75:25 so thats why I think the real season now starts and the next 10 will determine whether we make finals or not
I'd say it should continue at 60+% in that run.

Another 4 qtr performance. We are 6-2. We are Top 4, 8 games in. Absolutely fantastic from us this year so far. So proud up until this point.

That was Cerras best game tonight. He was great last week but topped it tonight. So damaging by foot, something I want him to start doing more of and cut up the opponent’s defence. Some of those passes in the first half were drool worthy.

All the boys did their job. Cripps, another 3 votes, but Curnow was immense tonight. His metres gained numbers were super and not to mention how instrumental he was in score involvements, including his own part in that. Kennedy had a ripper 3rd qtr and TDK the same. Young/Weitering combo growing stronger down back, Young has all the traits to be a jet, he’s growing into the role. Great spoil of the ball and his intercept game is strong.

Would have loved to put them away in the last, literally was only unhappy about our first 10 mins tonight.

We need a win on the road. We need to win next week. Big 12 days ahead before the Pies before the bye.

I love our club so ****ing much!

How can anyone honestly say Durdin had a bad game today?

Our biggest weakness this season has been turning the ball over at HF and the opposition switching flanks and pasting us on the outside. Durdin's (and Owies to a lesser effect) efforts to lock the ball in every time it dropped to the ground around HF, HFF or on the wing was exactly what we were not doing in recent weeks when the likes of Hawks, Freo and Port were countering effectively.

Maybe he wasn't best on ground from a skills & possession perspective, but I'd say he was as good as anyone on the ground today for doing what is required to keep our playing system from being countered. Without his efforts in keeping the ball in good territory and forcing stoppages (our greatest strength), the other players that shone through would not have been able to do their thing as easily.

I lost count of the amount of I50s we had purely from a stoppage that Durdin caused from either a tackle or a chase

Loved everything today.
Charlie awesome. And TDK is gonna blossom before our eyes.

Worried we will be without our skipper next week. He did nothing wrong but it was his tackle that created a concussion for their bloke murphy who was subbed out. God I hope I’m wrong. 🤦🤦🤦

Go blues. This is a great ride.

I'm enjoying the development of TDK at the moment, thought his last two weeks have been great.
Durdin, watched the game on delay due to mothers day. Come online and read a heap of drop Durdin posts, we must have been watching a different game. His kicking, pressure acts and general work rate was top notch. Owies on the other hand just seems to not get into the right places. After watching the VFL, not sure Motlop is really putting enough pressure on the selectors to drop Owies. I still feel like Honey may be that play come the end of the season.

I think people have to remember that small forwards don't have to be rated on their goal kicking. It can be a benefit, but looking at a stats sheet and seeing no goals, does not always equal a bad game.
Great to see us win a third quarter, these are the small wins the Blues need over the season. Nice that we're beating some of the weaker teams by a fair margin.

Also big big praise again for Zac Fisher. I have my reservations about him but he was on it again today.

23 disp @ 78%, 8 marks, 2.2, 11 score involvements, 3 i50s, 376m gained.

This week and last week is what he should be doing consistently knowing his talent. Big praise to Jack Carroll after a quiet 1st qtr as well, the boy put some great numbers up for his second game and worked his way into it. Love that

Last week Owies was terrific and Durdin quiet...thats how it goes

Durdin, Charlie and Cerras best game in the navy blue.

Cripps, Doc, Fish, TDK and Young fantastic as well. Can't really fault anyone overall.

In the top 4 after round 8, couldn't have dreamed it to be honest. Big tests start from next week.

On that note, Marchy, Georgey and Pitto back in this line up has me dreaming big.

Around the ground pinpoint passes I think Obrien is better...not talking about goal kicking
not a chance - I'm not talking goal kicking either........

No danger whatsoever of being cited... but then again it is that w***er Christian. My actual concern was when he burst through the crowbots around the ball, and dished off the JSOS for his second. He had both hands on the ball and an elbow clipped a crowbot and dropped him like a week old turd.

If Dawson doesn't get looked at for his deliberate elbow to, I think it was, Owies head in the third... then Crippa won't get looked at.
Just rewatched it, unlucky to get clipped there but no chance he gets cited for that. Wasn’t looking for contact, only ball.

I recall a few years ago when tripping was reportable, Fyfe got reported and it was ultimately thrown out. MRO tend to have some leniency towards superstars in career best years.

Based on yesterday's form, tbh, Motlop would offer vastly more than Owies, even at his current level of development. A skilled player with actual forward craft working at the feet of McKay and Curnow? Kysiah Pickett had an immediate impact at Melbourne. Motlop already played against men last year.

Very difficult to judge Motlop based on the garbage calibre tall forwards we have at VFL level.
I thought that he was pretty ordinary yesterday. Granted conditions didn't help.

Can't see Voss tinkering too much with a successful team. Nothing wrong with making young players knock the door down to get in. Makes them better players when they get there.
