I was giving Vossy a year to get settled and then start evaluating him from next year on... 8 games in, 6 and 2... **** evaluating him next near... he's doing a great job and has done a fantastic job turning around some of our players and putting a damned attractive game plan into place.

I know it's not going to work every week... or we'd be 8-0, but geez when we're on, we're on... and we've learnt how to win ugly as well. The games we've just crawled over the line to win, in previous years we would have gone belly up and lost... big.

Just get the boy doing handball drills under pressure til he nails that and he's away. The contested marking stuff is a bit off too, but it only comes up once or twice a game so I'm willing to wear it. The hospital handballs are killing his teammates though, and need to be cleaned up.

I dare say with all the inexperienced and young players on our list, we are still a year away from demolishing teams by 80 points plus, but that is natural/normal, Melbourne were the same when they made the finals 3/4 years ago for the first time in an eon under Goodwin.

There are a lot of our players who are doing the hospital handballs to team mates under pressure. Maybe learn to turn just as your being tackled and get ridden into the ground from the contact. If you're going to get hit, make it worth while.

We were less than a year older than the crows today. We have barely been older than most teams and younger than plenty this year.

Only the dockers look better for their age but I'd put some money on them regressing to the mean over the year

A whole bunch of no hoper discards don't become a top 4 team unless it's a Disney movie.

Having a degree of ambidexterity is handy as well. And as I said, I'm about 60/40. I do most things with my right hand, but I can swap to my left when needed. Writing, pure right hander. Eating, pure left hander. Can't explain it.

Poor Jack Martin missed for me and Newman’s two clangers to start the game stuck with me but I think I’m being pretty harsh on him.
