I don't expect you to follow. I had 320k to spend (downgrading Mcinerney and other trades) and ended up going Ben Paton. Rock solid job security and will go anywhere between 65-80 in my opinion. His teammates will use him so that's helpful. When i was looking through all the cheap defenders one thing that struck me is i trust none of them with job security hence my safe if unspectacular pick.

Think I went too Mid-Pricer and need to be talked off the ledge about this trade idea.

Tinkering with this

OUT - Crisp, Berry and SDK

IN - Houston, Hewitt (6 keeper Backs already done and dusted) and Dixon in Rucks


I will do this by switching Cog's or Brodie to M6-M8 playing a Midfield of - McRae, Neale, Rowell, Caldwell, JHF, Daicos and 2 of Rochelle/Cog's/Brodie.
Bench - Ward(In the firing line next week), Stephens, MacDonald(Also on thin Ice).

Backs will then be - Stewart, Dawson, Ridley(Thin ICE), Short, Hewitt, Houston: Bench - Hinge and Paddy Mc( Fwd switch with McGov after Rd 6)

Also then allows me to play FWDS - Dunks, Butters, Perkins, Xerri(Another Ruck/Fwd Swing), McGovern(FWD/DEF switch coming up rd 6) and one of Hayes/N.Martin or Brodie/Cogs/Rochelle.

Rucks are Gawn and English (Fwd swing and bye coverage)

I know I have complicated this thought. And I am going against the "Don't Trade after Round 1 Rule"
Though I think this puts more points on-field and finishes a line to not think about. Meaning I can go Harder/Faster in Trades to Upgrade Midfield Premos.

I will leave Fwds til last as most volatile line with Prices going Down Down sometime during season.

I will be down one Trade Boost and 3 trades but shower happens..

Ended up cooling my jets a bit.
Traded Hewitt the Handball king in for Crisp and pocketed a nice bit of cashola.
And that will do for this week.

I could have waited a week to make that trade but I'm already sick of Whitfield after one game and I can't wait to get Red Bull Rowell into my team.

Will do well to get 50 I think. I mentioned before their first praccy match I was keen to see how he'd go. He killed it. Mentioned I was interested in him in the pre-season team thread and was poo-pood.
Playing at the feet of those forwards in that team I reckon he will do well. Maybe not tonight though.
