One of my favourites, absolutely loved him
This hurts me more than Ratts at the Saints.
I lived my whole life in the Eastern Suburbs.

No. Just 3 talls in Lewis, McEvoy and Gunston. We will struggle defensively with their height if they end up going with Kosi, Lewis, Gunston + resting ruck (McEvoy/Reeves) up forward
It's a fair point. We've been great in the middle, so winning the midfield fight will limit their chances of forward 50 entries. Forward pressure will limit the rebound damage and if our mids are running both ways like they have been and we can get turnovers in the front 2/3 of the ground, we should be ok with the back 6-7 that are available.Win the clearances, lock it in our forward half, minimise your I50’s.
Failing that, Weiterbot.
I liked what i saw from Young in the practice match he played against melbourne and to be honest he took the piss in VFL last week, too good to be playing 2s IMHO. Think he may surprise a few but AFL of course is a different level
Wouldn't mind seeing Plow have a go as the attacking third tall with Mitch out
Plowman makes me nervous as…agree with Jack…could swing TDK back should we need height…Kemp is another option.Or they put JSOS on Gunston and go shorter up forward with Martin as the lead up.

I would agree, just looking at the extended bench, the only possible explanation is Martin playing as sub, even though it would seem unusual. Kennedy, Cerra and Pittonet are surely locks. If that's the we way go with Plowman as the 3rd defender, I am very fine with that. He's not the best matchup for Gunston, our midfield will dominate enough to make it sufficient.
It is the intercept ability of third tall Mitch, that I not sure Parks or Plowman really have.Unless Young or Parks come on
You sure? 3 in (Cerra, Young, Martin), 3 out (Gov, OMac, Fog). Plow was already in. Sub to come from one of the 23.Your maths is wrong if Plow stays in.
Silvagni on Breust would be a great matchupMaybe the time has come to send Jack Silvagni to the backline
Govs hammys are shot imo.. will only get him for half a season and less as he ages.. sucks

Yeah, but don't think he gets a gig this week.Club really rates Boyd. I'm excited to see what they're seeing.
Maybe not, but he's on the cusp.Yeah, but don't think he gets a gig this week.

I agree, with Harry to kick 13 of them.I predict a Gunston-McKay shootout with 12 goals between them. Hopefully our Big H gets the bulk of them.
Wet and windy MCG also helps us make it a contested territory battle as opposed to the Hawks relying on quick precise ball movement to counterattack from their backline. It's a fair point. Kemp wasnt named in the squad for sundays game but he is definitely an option in future weeksKemp.
I reckon his old man might be able to give him a few tips on what to do…Dont like the idea of JSOS as the third defender, mainly because I can't recall the last time he actually played in defence. Don't think he's trained there recently. Sure he's got the right size and competitiveness, but ultimately if he hasn't trained with the backline group it'll lack synergy.
Not to mention it changes our forward structure which has been working well, JSOS kicked 2 goals last week.
Plowman and Parks have actually trained as defenders and feel like they can do the job.
