Thanks, forgot his name given the forgettable time with us.

Look at the trade that got done, Blues absolutely again raided GWS and it was talked about in a positive manner.

WHO GETS WHAT?

Carlton:
Pick 8, Sam Kerridge, Lachie Plowman, Liam Sumner, Jed Lamb, Andrew Phillips

GWS: Picks 28, 77, 95 and Geelong’s 2016 first-round selection

Adelaide: Troy Menzel

WHO LOSES WHAT?

Carlton:
Picks 77, 95, Geelong’s 2016 first-round selection and Troy Menzel

GWS: Pick 8, Lachie Plowman, Liam Sumner, Jed Lamb, Andrew Phillips

Adelaide: Pick 28, Sam Kerridge

If we do bring in Hopper what does that mean for Sloane, Schoenberg, Pedlar and Keays?

You would say Laird and Berry are centre square midfield locks.

Assuming we split pick 5 and get Rankine and Hopper with the spoils of it, are people happy with that??
Sloane would be in the forward line if he plays regardless whether we get Hopper or not imo. If we got Hopper it would probably be Soligo that gets shuffled out to wing and Keays may not get a game with a fit forward line of McAdam, Rankine, Rachele. I think our midfield would be Laird, Hopper, Berry unless they played Soligo over Berry in there. Now that I think of it Sloane may not even get back into the team if everyone is fit.

Watching a few of the you tube trade rumour vids made by randoms and they all seem to be mentioning Yeo to the crows. These vids are rarely accurate but anyone heard this rumour? He seems a bit cooked to me. 28 yeas of age so not the age group I would have thought they would be targetting.

If you could get his body right could be an astute pick up. Perhaps Burgess influence?
Seems unlikely though

Which then suggests did we make the right call to use pick 9 on him? Top 10 picks shouldn't be role players

Watching Sanfl highlights recently he will be a mid - of good quality - just needs to get the body up to AFL. Watch out either next year or year after

Pretty sure he was on Adelaide’s SANFL list before going to Sturt
Yep but never played, broke his arm badly in the Old Collegians Grand Final win and was in recovery the whole time he was on our top up list.

Carlton list boss Nick Austin has been spotted scouting Fischer McAsey’s recent SANFL matches, fuelling speculation the No. 6 draft pick will join the Blues in trade period.
McAsey, 21, is contracted at Adelaide at 2023. But the key defender has failed to play a single AFL game in the past two seasons and it's understood the Crows would facilitate a trade.

The great unknown is whether the McAsey can play. The Sandringham Dragons product was drafted before the likes of Rising Star winner Caleb Serong (Fremantle), Kozzie Pickett (Melbourne), Cody Weightman (Western Bulldogs) and Sam De Koning (Geelong) in 2019.

But he struggled to get a kick in the Crows‘ reserves this season. McAsey, who stands 198cm and weighs 98kg, averaged only 8.3 disposals and 47 SuperCoach points in 17 SANFL matches this season.

Last year he averaged 11.3 disposals and 62 SuperCoach points in 18 SANFL games without earning an AFL opportunity. All 10 of McAsey‘s AFL games came in 2020, his first season at the Crows.

But a fresh start back home could ignite the junior talent and the Blues appear eager to give him that chance.

The Blues had great success securing Lewis Young from the Dogs last season and would love further defensive reinforcements.
