All us crows supporters have got to hope is that the next time the crows play against Draper he tears us a new one..

I know Sam, and he very much listens to his older brothers who are very anti Crows and have told him to stay at Essendon.

True, and they have form in snatching a player from another team with Greenwood. Or at least their former recruitment/coaching department did.

They negotiated with Greenwood before getting him. With their decimated team culture, they won't touch him.

I just think that for a bit there Hamish nailed a couple of obscure picks and the media highlighted this and pumped his tyres up a bit..

And now Hamish thinks all his picks need to be left of field and against the grain.. in order to somehow keep his reputation up..

He should never be allowed to use a first round pick ever again IMO.. let him play around with the picks over 30..

Yep Dad is a big Crows fan, brothers Glenn probably should have made an AFL list was a key forward and very accurate kick but was a bit short, Only 190cm, hates the crows, there were conversation like if you get to this fitness level we'll take you and he put in the work and they still went in a different direction. Went the country footballer route for awhile and made some good cash. Dan is a cricketer, is a West coast fan and hates the crows because all his mates are Crows fans ( not the good kind) he takes pride and joy out of every crows loss so he can hang shit on his mates. Is quite vocal on social media about his distaste. They both have said Essendon is the best thing for him, also both more than 10 years older than Sam.

We will have to give up quality for Rankine. I think we need to put a player selected in the first round on the table that's in our starting lineup and played the magical 50 games and one of the first picked in the side.

Unfortunately this means we might have to lose McHendry.

They clearly have a different framework for how they measure late picks that allow for greater risk and upside.

They need to use that same framework for first rounders.

TT and Rachele came out of nowhere. I hadn't even heard of them. Pretty sure Soligo and Taylor were playing country footy as well last year and never made a state squad.

AFL Stats Comparison

I still think we need to trade for him at the earliest opportunity. He’s just starting to come into his own and has far more upside than ROB

So with Drapers 10 touches - he has 4 clangers and 3 turnovers? But he does average 1.6 marks a game so a positive there?
I love how opposition players are all so much better than ours - because we don’t see much of them!!

That goal he kicked against Gold Coast was really good though.

Have a team ever taken a player who hasn’t wanted to go there in a preseason or national draft - outside of first time draftees.

Doesn’t seem to happen. So if North matched the offer so what, no links to the club no desire to go there

JHF pick 1 offer after the last offer, Jeremy Cameron, Ross Lyon coach etc

Not really fair to call them misses. The JHF offer happened. And we 100% spoke to both JC and sounded out Ross.
