It's that time of the year where we're about to hit crazy season on the board.

In order to keep some order around the place, I've locked all threads except the standard ones that we have during the season - refer #5. Will leave the rate my preseason thread going until final lockout.

Any new threads that don't fit in to the standard structure will likely end up merged with either an existing suitable thread, or the General Chat thread as a catch-all.

Good luck to everyone - this is one of the toughest years to pick a starting side that I can remember.

Oddly enough, I added WB back in today. Fyfe in doubt for Rd 1 with his knee doesn't exactly augur of a quickfire fulltime return to the mids for the champ. Brodie as the battering ram might be more significant and entrenched for a while, now.

Depends how much you trust the Minge. I don't think he's a must - if you have one of him/Minge + McCartin I wouldn't really be wanting a third exxy def rook (likely just to sit at D7 when you can use the 50k elsewhere)

The touted JS is what adds to his value, for me. Depends entirely on the rest of your structure though, innit?

4 - Gibcus on the bench but will change him to Sinn if named. Could end up with Uwland, don't rate the defensive rooks at all. And that brings VC Steele into play and I can loop SdK into Minge.

Yeah I think you have to take at least one.

Likewise. Hinge is a walking AC joint injury and Gibcus is an expensive young KPD - but the only confirmed cheap DEF rook is SDK. I don't think Sinn plays so unless you're running really deep to D5 (which a lot of people are) with McCartin at D6 it's hard to say how you don't take at least one of them
