Don't watch the VFL consistently but did today. Dev played on-ball for the majority of the game.

Was solid, was a hard game to be a stand out in because of the weather and how scrappy the game was at times. Thought his ball drop was going to be an issue today but didn't seem to affect him anymore than anyone else. In our bests but still hard to bring him into the 22 based on that performance alone.

Agree here. The wind was shocking but you get that some times. No one really stood out but Dev's attack on the inside stood out from everyone else. Tunstill who didn't get a lot of it showed some really clean hands and good decision making and I don't know what it is but he catches the eye. Seems to glide over the ground as well and one to definitely see how he progresses. T.Bez was pretty good but there were some skill errors which you don't really want to see at the top level. Matho was BOG and had a four quarter effort. If J.Bez ever has to miss I could see Dev play his role from what i saw with his intent in the middle.

He was really good with his inside work in the last quarter. Quite strong and holds his feet in the contest. Generally makes good decisions. It was an improvement on his previous outings and maybe he's getting fitter now after his setback.

Could Dev play a Lyons type role when Lyons retires? Lyons is practically 30 now and probs has 2-3 good seasons left, not to mention Neale is in a similar position (bar a bit younger).

I've always believed that Dev will be our Lyons replacement, while Ashcroft Jr I (Will) would end up being the Neale replacement for us in the midfield heading into the long-term future of the football club, while current/future players now like McCluggage, Berry (Jarrod), Bailey, Rayner, Starcevich, Sharp, Lohmann, Tunstill & Fletcher (Jaspa), Ashcroft Jr II (Levi) would be able to rotate through the midfield in a match for us and play in other various positions (as currently in the AFL/underage footy).

After trying to go Tom Lynch, when Lynch told the playing group he was leaving, Ainsworth is probably the last player I’d expect to walk out of GC.

I no this will be controversial but I can't see how Devob being selected would perform any more poorly than Rayner.

I feel for Cam, even without the ACL but there isn' a more underwhelming no 1 pick in the comp than Cam and even then guys taken in the top 10 last year are showing more than Cam already and I think will far exceed what Cam ever could. I'd trade Cam for Rachelley and a good pick in a heart beat.

Not controversial at all in my view. On the money.
