WELCOME JOSH!!

I LOVE YA MOSH...

.....PIT......

WORK!!

:D

We are about 1000 short on points to cover Fletcher scenarios.

I know we can go into deficit, but what do people see us doing now?

Do we trade back in, clean up all the picks we have try and push our draft points back closer to 3000?

What’s the list spots vs draft points scenario?

Dom said we can stay out of the negative next year, I just don’t see how that’s possible?
Honesty who cares if we go into deficit next year. It's not like we are going to have a top 10 pick.

I don't think I have ever seen a club embarrass themselves like Footscray have this trade period. To take what was an obvious business deal into the last 20 minutes for picks that will never be used?

How will the other clubs look at them? Half a dozen trade deals held up for ego? And, further down the food chain, players like Ratagoulea and Sharp don't get the opportunities they need, because their current clubs don't have the time to make/assess the offers possible.

W&nkers.
Its funny how they are all carrying on about how good Power did - ridiculous; they could have taken 15 and F1 with Dunkley and some extra picks in the 30's, yet they downgraded 15 to 21 and got some rubbish picks next year. Not sure where the jubilation is carrying from.

I know we’ve said it every year for the past four seasons but what a turnaround for this club.

Go back to the GH5 and how grim it looked!
I know; its unreal.

Watching the Trade Show earlier on Fox and they were going on about how unfair it is for the bottom clubs to ever get ahead given the success at trade week that the top 6 clubs had and us and Geelong to do well in the draft.

Its mind blowing that they couldnt even recall where we once were without much AFL assistance and that clubs can turn it around with the right appointments both on and off field be/c like you, it was looking diabolocal for our club back then and now we are flying in every aspect.

Gee, you are really selling Cordy short here!

Curiosity made me wander over to the St Kilda board and they had three trade threads after two maxed out. What the hell where they talking about?

Need a t-shirt made up.

“We posted 20,000 times in our trade thread and all we got was this lousy Zaine Cordy”.

From Herald Sun...

Brisbane Lions

IN: Josh Dunkley (BL), Jack Gunston (Haw)

OUT: Dan McStay (Coll), Tom Berry (GC)

PICKS: 34, 35, 36, 38, 55, 56, 73

The Lions are clearly in premiership hunting mode after trading for two experienced flag winners but they will be thrilled. Long-time Hawthorn sharpshooter Jack Gunston is an upgrade on Collingwood-bound Daniel McStay, while big-bodied Western Bulldog Josh Dunkley boosts an already strong midfield that will also add father-son guns Will Ashcroft and Jaspa Fletcher. Although he turns 31 next week, Gunston is still coming off a season of averaging two goals per game so is a great get for late picks. Dunkley choosing the Lions over Port Adelaide and the Bulldogs was a big win in itself, but then it was hard work getting a deal done that went down to the wire. In the end, it cost Brisbane a first-rounder and two seconds, while getting some later 2023 picks back. Importantly, Brisbane was able to maintain a swag of 2022 selections, allowing it to match bids on the father-son duo. It also turned fringe player Tom Berry into a handful of picks.

Rated us 8.5 out of 10.

So it's Dunkley for F1 + 21 ? what are they celebrating over there?
Well since we are such campaigners and our culture obviously sucks and we are getting in a mercenary to drop our kulcha even further we are destined to 'win' the spoon next year so they got 21 and 1 (2023) for Dunks so yay (and who doesn't love a good deathride)

Also looking at the draft rankings the Lions were fourth (iirc) and are now tenth (atm) so they rolled us big time on that one.

Oh and the two picks we wanted (30 and 39) we didn't get (nyah nyah na nyah nyah)

St Kilda has to be the most uninspiring sporting club in Australia.

There’s more excitement surrounding the Newcastle Jets or Broome Bombers.

The St Kilda board had three trade threads that accumulated to ~27k posts. Seems a like a lot of posts to discuss Zaine Cordy coming in as a free agent, and Long being traded out for a future fourth.

Out of curiosity, what ranting did they give Collingwood?
