Josh Dunkley is an absolute yes from me, but unsure how you’d play Cunners, Greenwood and Dunkley in the same midfield.

You don't. Dunkley would walk into this team and be (at worst) our 2nd best midfielder. I'm sure we've got the cap space for him as well. With Dunkley I'd assume our starting centre bounce would be Dunkley/LDU/Cunners

Brisbane didn't even have the currency to pay for Ashcroft and Fletcher, they have already traded away their first round pick for more points that was meant to be part of the trade for Dunkley, can't see how they can get it done.

IF Dunkley doesn't get done. Do a deal with Lions. We take him at 1 is PSD, then trade him for their first next year. essentially buy their first for 1 year of Dunkley wages.

That is 100% the angle that we should be looking at. Obviously Dunkley has to agree with that though. Only downside is that Bris might have to chew into their points next year to get both Ashcroft and Fletcher meaning the F1 might slip down the order.

We had the $850k room for pick 7, Brisbane only offering $750k for Dunkley.

That way they will have no value in points to do the Dunks deal without having to trade out players to get more picks.

Not close enough for us and West Coast a mile off IMO. No developing ruck is worth pick 2 unless they are projected to be the best to ever play the position, let alone bundling another player in there.

Issue is they've botched it. They put him on the market, which obviously rubbed him the wrong way. He met with clubs, made the decision he wanted to leave. Only for them to ask for ridiculously overs.

I suspect it coincided with their belief that De Goey was gettable and them therefore keen to free up some cashola.
