like i said is a pick from 20-25 is overs
Yes, I agree but its not "way overs".

The deal we got for Brad Hill I would call "way overs": it was definitely worth doing. If someone is stupid enough to offer a similar way overs deal for Lobb, then sure.

But I just can't see any benefit in us in accept a "fair" deal or even a slightly overs deal. What do we get out of it? A 2nd rounder? Why do we care? When we are giving up a bona fide FF for a year?

If it is a missing piece in some other trade, then sure do the deal. But there has to a reason for the FFC to trade out Lobb. Him wanting to live in Melbourne isn't much of a reason for Freo, however compelling it is for Rory.

So your great fantasy for this trade period is that North win the Bowes lottery and then thankfully trade #7 to us for Logue, Tucker, and some futures?

I like your (wishful) thinking, but I can't see that happening.

In this fantasy we trade Logue, Tucker, our future second and third picks for #7, F2 PP and F3 PP

None of those picks cost North anything other than cap space.

Which is all done AFTER Jackson

Taylor if the rumour of Treacy being homesick is true, what are the chances of the club knowing about this already?

If he has spoken to the club at his exit interview about it he would mention that if a trade can be found he would be open to it.

I wouldn't expect to hear about it publicly.

Lobb, Logue, and our first for Jackson

Logue for f2

Lobb 13 and f2 (19-22) for 11 and 15? Whatevs they get from brissy

11 and 15 for Jackson

Feels like we getting stiffed but I can see this being the basis

We keep F1 in this scenario
Am I reading this right? 2 players and a first rounder for Jackson.

Yes

but we are getting bent on Logue anyway so its the make the best out of a bad situation

allows us to hold onto our f1
Jackson had a worse season than both Logue and Lobb in reality , I am very against the Jackson trade BTW He has just been way overvalued on exposed form.

Would we rate an still contracted Jordan Clark at time of the trade worth more or less than an out of contract Griffin Logue?

We won't get more than what we gave for Clark last year.

Logue is B22 at Freo , Clarke was not at Geelong , So one cancels the other so about the same . Except Key position players should always demand more than flankers.

That's ok, but can we have some trade period dates stickied up top? I just had a look on the AFL website and could not find them.

I have them on a thread on the draft board called important dates and free agency moves but I am on way too strong drugs right now to find it. I'll quote it across in the morning.

The thing that annoys me with Logue, is we have a top 10 pick they the club doesn't think is best 22, so we are not going to give me big $$

Appears to be a bad recruitment in the first place.

Mind you, I just looked at that draft year and there wasn't anyone besides Brodie and English that I would have taken. So maybe he was the best choice
