Just had Tom Petroro, JOM'S agent, on Fox Footy talking about the trade.

Wow! Who knew that a player agent didn't have to be an arrogant knobhead
Not Colin Young apparently.

I'm relatively pleased with our incoming player haul, but as I've previously stated, the absence of Lobb within the forward line, cannot be understated! I simply cannot see Amiss and Treacy having the means and nous to replicate his goal scoring output
This is through no fault of their own though, as they're simply not at that stage of their development curve. Oh, and my final query, is who will act as the back-up ruck that waits in the wings, when Sean Darcy inevitably injures his knee?

Why? When we can improve our list?
We haven’t exactly recruited to his position, Jackson and Corbett are both different players.

as I said further down the thread, it would have been spiteful to hold him as even if he threatened to sit it out - but he wouldn’t have been able to do that if he wanted a good contact next year. He would have had to play and be good at it, and that would mean cover for Amiss while he develops for a year.

I hear you. I guess we can place some hope in the fact we didn’t delay the forward line fix another year by delaying the Lobb exit. We have to find a better way and that starts this pre-season instead of next.
well, I'm a glass half full (and top me up while I'm getting tipsy if ya don't mind..) kinda person. I mean, I have to be the shit I've been through, especially the last decade - no joke.

Pretty sure a number of fans were ropeable when we drafted Serong etc...everything is better with hindsight or a spliff, depending on how comfy your floor is. Except buying a Rheem shower, that shit sucks!

I feel the feeling in the feels of my bones - It WILL be okay!

And it's not as though being a footy fan ever helps :tearsofjoy:

Ok. The endless sooking has got to stop. Clearly the club knows a bit more about the ins and outs of it all and did the best they could for the club as a whole.

So when do we find out if the tippa train on is happening?
Tippa either has to be delisted by Essendon as a good will gesture by them, or nominate himself for the draft and get through unpicked to become a train on for us.
It's a long shot

Confirmed as WB future 2nd

Wow, i doubt there's anyone that would have paid a 2nd rounder for O'meara - let alone throw in Meek. I can't fathom our logic.

Seriously, this trade period feels like we lost on Logue, Lobb, Acres, O'meara and Meek. Tucker was a neutral. I'm reserved on Jackson (First, future first, but I'm very very very happy to be proven wrong). I just want to know what position he will play. The Hawks took O'meara out of the middle for lots of this year, his numbers fell off markedly - he had 7 games with less than 20 possessions, his last three years average was three of <20. Who's position will be play - Andy's, Serongs, Brodies, Fyfes, Ras's...it really lacks cohesion in the strategy. On paper, we're weaker at Ruck depth, Attack, (mid field neutral - Mundy for O'Meara, although we lost 12cm in height) and lost our next back up KDP. We're stronger at colourful horses aka unicorns. We lost so much size its not funny - our players by kilo have dropped alot (Logue was 101kg, Lobb > Jackson by 24kg according to AFLTables, Acres is 9kg > O'meara, Tucker had a hardened body, , Meek was 111Kg - and Collingwood exposed us in the final for being under developed, we've gone massively backwards from having mature bodies. This is sooo old Freo, nothing like we've been recently.

Before last year Lobb missed more games than Tabs. Why can't tabs get his body right with our new fitness team after another year of sorting things out?

Things can change, I recon we'll be alright and have smart enough coaches to move the whiteboard and get it done. Look at our game vs GWS without any talls.

Two things

Firstly we wouldn’t of got Jack out of him cos he would of sooked for the whole year or could of pulled a Dardy and sit out.

Secondly, no way we would of got draft value of about pick 13 next year. Probably a 3rd round or late 2nd
