Love seeing you people complain about a 18-12 free kick discrepancy as compared to what Sturt got dished up today with 16-29.
You’re not the only ones that get shafted…you can look at the stat domination to confirm what I’m saying.

Had an outstanding U18's Champioships and played outstanding SANFL League footy for Centrals in his draft year that's why.

Unfortunately his lack of pace has been found out big time at the higher level.
Would you delist Hately completely or keep him as a rookie?

Delist and keep Brown on the rookie list unless we bring in an experienced mid.
Agree we should keep one as a rookie depth cover, but we need to look elsewhere for our main list.

Think I would go Hately over Brown, but honestly not too fussed either way.

How Crows supporters (myself included) felt when we were robbed of that game against Sydney which cost us finals. It’s the same persistent feeling that I feel as an Eagles supporter watching the Crows and Power participate in the SANFL.

It cheapens the SANFL. It makes a mockery of the finals when either participates.

I completely understand the Crows wanting and needing a Reserves team. Every A grade team needs a reserves team to provide development and opportunity for the handful of players that can contribute to the A grade side when called upon.

Why a whole competition, especially one the stature of the SANFL, needs to compromise itself to the extent it has for players the ilk of Crouch, Gollant, Berry and Parnell absolutely staggers me.

For the betterment of South Australian football, join 14 other AFL clubs and participate in the VFL - which should just be the AFL Reserves. For the betterment of South Australian football, work in with the SANFL clubs and give top up opportunities to young players who have just missed out on being drafted. Give them some experience, use the resources available to get them on track with further education and work, so they can take that back to their SANFL or community clubs in their 20’s.

The structure of football in SA doesn’t see a coming together of all parties. We have our two AFL clubs now owned by the AFL. We have the SANFL’s 8 clubs and 1 representative of Community Football appointing the SA Football Commission to make all decisions on the game in our state. We have almost total reliance on the income generated by the two AFL teams filling Adelaide Oval to fund the SANFL.

When the Crows and Port first came in, we never saw clashes of AFL and SANFL games. Now we see Crows Reserves games scheduled at the same time as an AFL game. Most had a community club, an SANFL club and an AFL club of which there was at least some interest or family connection. How does an SANFL club compete against an AFL club for support if they’re pitted against them?

SA footy needs a coming together, Uluṟu Statement of the Heart style, of all stake holders, country, metro, SANFL, AFL, juniors, seniors, to ensure the passion we have for football in this state continues and all roads lead to a footy oval as close to where you live as possible, with a community that is connected and a clear pathway to the top.

The Adelaide Football Club should be the leader of this and with the backing of this state, be the most successful football club in Australia.

As soon as you mention the Uluṟu statement of the heart you lost me!

I love Norwood. But lov the Adelaide footy club more. And want to see them compete and succeed at every level. I know I’m in a minority though
Wash your mouth out.

When the club doesn’t want to succeed at every level then how can you put them over your original club? If they truly wanted to succeed and didn’t see this competition as a development team for the AFL, Crouch would have played.

I went and wanted them to win, but against Norwood last year finals it was Norwood all the way. It means something to that football club.

Loyalty to your 1st club. Perfectly understandable. 👍

Been a tigers supporter all my life..

Want the crows to win though.

But if the tigers win I wont be unhappy at all!.

Just need the crows to beat sturt again and I cant really lose.

But you watch the umpiring next week.. there’s no way the SANFL will let the crows win.

Just like yesterday.. all a tigers player needed to do for a free is put his head down and duck into the nearest crows player.

I was there yesterday and while I am a Bays supporter too, found myself cheering for the Crows in crucial plays, not the Bays. However, I know it means a lot more to the Bays to win a SANFL flag than it does to the Crows as it's their pinnacle, so I was happy to see the Bays win.

In essence it boils down to us believing that SANFL games are irrelevant. We want to win, but also don't really care about winning.

Here is the club's reasoning: Crouch ruled out of SANFL finals
Fair enough - have no issue with us getting Crouch ready for next season as nothing really to be gained for him personally.

Different story for the younger guys.

Why have we ruled him out?
We have to be ok with that. Strachan has to play if fit, but Crouch is important to next season. He has sign off for this year and it gives the fill players who were there all year a reward.
The Crows have withdrawn eligible players from SANFL finals since they entered the comp.
