Fixture has finally been released (1 day early).

Gill would have been fuming it was leaked by The Age :laughv1:

Not sure how it works (if it’s linked to your membership and need to login to buy) but I won’t be flying in so have 4 voucher codes (2 adults, 1 concession and one child) for any SA non member to get along and make sure there’s a massive Carlton contingent for this away game.

Personal message me if interested

Doubtful, unless one of the double up teams, is a riser
My point is, who the eff knows with this AFL and the rules of fixture may be turned on it's head.
At this point I would not trust how it works.
The whole fixture setup needs a total overhaul.
Until they do some common sense overhaul of everyone plays each other once before anyone plays anyone twice, it a joke of whatever set up they run with at present.

Hang on. There is an extra round. We could be playing 3 top 6 teams twice.
I’m with you. I wouldn’t rule this out. The AFL will seek to maximise revenue. On that basis, we’ll be their golden cows (along with Collingwood and Richmond).

That said, I’m still a believer that if you’re good enough, you’ll cope with whatever draw comes your way.

Would be great to have everyone play each other twice, but just not possible with so many teams

One thing, that I believe is happening this year, everyone will play each other once, before the double up games are finalised. Not 100% though

We haven’t played * twice in a season since 2017.

What’s the deal with that?
I think it's no longer a lock for 2 games with both sides not in contention for a number of years. I doubt they'd be high on the request list, with Richmond and Collingwood bigger games at present. We've only been drawing 50-60 K to Essendon games.

Not gonna lie, really enjoying the tears and melts from the 'entitled' Dogs fans who thought they had a divine right to play in this Good Friday fixture every season

I am willing to bet my soul Norf and Channel 7 specifically asked us to replace the Battling Bulldogs in this time slot.

Enjoyable schadenfreude for taking our finals spot last season too

Ya know, never liked the Dogs, I know many posters here have an fairly irrational hatred of St Kilda, I feel that way about The Bulldogs. Maybe it's a geographical class divide, mostly been an Eastern Suburbs based boy myself my life, and I try to avoid venturing anything future west than North Melbourne if I can help it.
Is that you Dermott ? :D

I heard him once on radio saying he was in Niddrie for the first time and he was carrying on like he was James Cook and had discovered the
great southern land.

At least you are honest .
