Bringing lycett back so shortly after hurting himself and playing him on marvel surface was always a huge risk which most this board knew would near guarante a surgery risk

As we'd already feared, the club put absolutely everything into keeping the ****ing streak going, to make tredrea look bad and make donuts look like a hero. The players are now banged up, injured and spent. Oh and they have no motivation because they can only put effort in to save daddy.

This was fairly inevitable. Good thing we got 2 and half games into Hayes and Visentini collectively this season - our ruck stocks for the finals.

Dixon was also going to need a rest at some point, and no surprise it's when he's needed to ruck more.

Man, the inevitable collapse of our club as the season has worn on is a real drag, but the gallows humour that follows is a welcome silver lining.

If our doctors weren’t to get sacked for how they dealt with the concussion saga, they should be getting sacked for how badly they’ve managed Lycett and Dixon’s injuries.

July 1st - 5 GAMES AGO!!!!

WON'T NEED KNEE SURGERY......

Proceed to win 2 games WITHOUT Lycett.

Then RISK him in 2 games and LOSE both.

Then pull him out last week and instead of having the surgery immediately.... Waste another entire week.... Then.....

Unbelievable.

Some of the most horrendous player management you'll ever see.

Honestly it's footy karma.

Had we just popped him into surgery 5 weeks ago, he'd be close to fit again by now, be ready for our race to top 2 and clearly ready for finals. All whilst having ZERO impact on our results as we lost every game he was involved in anyway.

Instead we now can't be sure if he'll be back for the QF, and he'll miss our critical next 4 games, of which it would appear we must win 3 minimum, while hoping Bris lose to Coll and Melb drop one to Syd or Carlton.
