All true, but when i hear "carry a player we saw so little chance of development or future success" his is the 1st name that comes to mind. If theres a condition under which you justify using a "list spot, coaching time and effort" the journeyman insurance policy is it.

Not sure he’s up to it but wouldn’t say he’s shit.

Put together some decent footy last year before we stupidly moved him to the wing to accommodate Crouch. Always played well in the ressies so maybe an extended run might see him do okay.

It’s more about protecting the kids. Need a bigger body to rotate through midfield so Ginbey, Hewett and hopefully Reid aren’t having shoulder recos as 20 year olds. That’s why we went after Dev Robertson.

If you really wanted a midfielder like that (experienced, reasonably big bodied, actually plays assertively on ball), Rhys 'The Beast' 'The Barometer' 'Beastmode' Mathieson would be a better pick up. I'm honestly shocked West Coast haven't actually done that yet.

I'd rather take Wilson over Windsor (if both were available at 10). Goad at 20 would be slightly early, but I wouldn't be upset if we went for him there. I don't see DeMattia being available at 20, and there's (apparently) a chance St Kilda could pick him up at 13 as well.

Definitely wouldn't take any of the three talls you listed (especially not Green if we're taking Goad at 20). Any of DeMattia, Tholstrup or Collard would be nice at 14, but it's the pick I'm the least set on.
