Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

We did the most ridiculous thing possible, we sold our first then cut mature players who were a big part of the 2022 improvement.

Griffin Logue was injured a lot, 2022 was a breakout year for him. 25 years old and 64 games experience. 20 games in 2022.

Blake Acres also a bit player, breakout year in 2022, Fremantle decide to cut him, 27 years old 110 games (45 for Freo). 20 games in 2022.

David Mundy, 16 games in 2022. 376 game player, 37 years old. Break out….

Rory Lobb, 21 games in 2022. 37 goals. Break out year. Is a knob, but lots of teams have them.

Darcy Tucker, Lloyd Meek I can live with. You can move on depth.

When you trade a future 1st you bring in as much talent as possible and retain retain retain. You want to go up the ladder not down. It’s so obvious you wonder if someone is sabotaging the club from the inside? The decision making is so ludicrous, so stupid, it’s beyond plausible to think we could let go, 4 best 22 players and think we would rise up the ladder. Who makes these dumb decisions?
And yet we kept Hughes. Sigh

I'd take Liam Ryan in a heartbeat.

But not while contracted. Cost too much and the thought of helping West Coasts rebuild is distasteful. Ha.

Can you imagine what’d happen to him if he played for Freo?

A player with his off field record which has conveniently been pushed under the carpet by the WA Media wouldn’t last the first season at Freo.

It's apples and oragnes.
Plays for West Coast- his domestic violence record and alcohol record brushed under the carpet. Not a whisper.

For Fremantle- Bell would be under pressure and just trade him.

The hypocrisy of this state..

Pleased to hear Kosi's resigned. I breathe a sigh of relief once a big name target linked to us has resigned with their club. A future first could easily be a top 5 pick again.

If we want a small forward so bad, let's pick one up in the draft. They typically have immediate impact in their first years anyway. You're all obsessed about our 'window' but if you look at our list profile, our window is probably in the '2025-28' mark.

Let's sell the heck out of Liam Henry and get picks for him..
Wants to join his best mate. Tell him to he's free to go.

Let him play at Peel and give him some time?
At the end of the year make the call.
He is not going to make it as a winger. Find a spot that he can contribute at least.

Half back? Only spot left for him that he hasn't tried.
We need to get a quality spine sorted at Peel. Then with enough ground ball
see if he can read, make the play.
We have the talls, but always seems that we leave one in the reserves.
We should have an aerial advantage, and a quality small should dominate.

Anyone running Freo with sense would do the Jackson deal 100/100.
The question is really "Is the juice worth the squeeze"

At this point in time it looks like we were well and truly rogered by Melbourne. Yes I wanted Jackson but based on current ladder position he cost, picks 6, 13 and 22. Ouch.

Alright seriously **** the campaigners at the club. How can unpaid nuffies on bigfooty rate Van Rooyen higher than the people paid at the club. Unforgiveable. Should be in Purple. Imagine picking up someone who has good highlights in a high school comp versus a player that kicked bags for fun in the WAFL.

Honestly, silly post.
Amiss, Erasmus and MJ is still a decent haul.
Maybe should’ve trade someone to get up in the draft order.

Treacy desperately needs to come good.

Yep. We should've had the balls to take JVR with Amiss at pick 8 and 10.
