Training 2023 pre-season

Blakey in the training photos which is interesting. His glandular fever must not be severe.

Or, hear me out, Blakey is actual part lizard. A lixard which is actually know to have antigenes to glandular fever.

Swans now need to keep Blakey safe from the big pharma companies who want to secretly capture him to make an quick cure to glandular fever.

Unknownst to the world, they failed and now Blakey has to single-handedly fight an Army lizardmen. The mutated test subjects of this evil pharmacy company.

I'm glad David King is not attending any of our training sessions. I am low-key a fan of his analysis of games throughout the season (til he starts bringing nonsense stats out) but gee whiz, the bloke has lost the plot. He's giving out Brownlow Medals and calling players "major concerns" in February based on what he witnesses at training sessions. Absolute bell-end.

Listening to Harley on SEN saying 🦎 has already banked the 3 weeks off & has started working back into training & are hopeful of getting him back for at least one practice match along with the photo of him back at training fills me with confidence he will be right for round one.

So our media team published a three-week-old injury report?

Behave Caesar...

Further proof that he actually was fighting the super Army of mutants.

Only reason for the delay.

Feel like Clarke is being written off for no reason. While some might prefer other alternatives - he solidified his spot in the 22 on a big run to a GF, kept getting picked. Oppo coaches knew what he was in the team for already.

Yeah he's injured but clearly the coaches valued his input, so unless the next player in dominates (a big if) and we only have 1 injury concern, then he'll probably come back in. If he returns via the VFL, I expect he'll do what he usually does, rack up possession and tackles in the midfield, which was his form when picked last year.
What I am saying is that he will not be ready to start the season so another player will get an opportunity early. I am not saying he is not in our team when fit. He was one of the players who actually played OK in the GF and when the shit hit the fan he actually tried, sorrifully, unsuccessfully to calm things down.

If he's not ready he won't be far off, has already started back to light duties. We seem to have a few on the cusp. Hopefully they are conservative with anyone who doesn't get a full practice game in at least.

I doubt anyone has ever noticed, but the Swans media team coverage of preseasons isn't exactly amazing.

A player could spend his salary on building a rocket, taking a large portion of the squad to the moon where they play the first AFL game ever in a low gravity environment, it making world news and the Swans media team would only mention it perhaps in passing a few months after they have returned and half those players have already been infected with an alien virus that turns them into zombies.
