My highlight of the first half was Motlops tackle on Cameron. Game was as hot as * and the guy who’s not noted for his steel drags down a wilderbeast front on.
He actually had to launch off the ground to make the tackle stick.

Loved it.

Dropped Cameron with a massive tackle in our forward line too to force a ball up too.

Great tackle on someone 20+ cm taller and 20+ kg heavier than him.

Lots to choose from, but that was the worst umpiring decision of the night, for mine.

Lifted the arms up, braced for contact, chose to try and use his body weight to get free of his opponent.

Holding the ball every single day of the week.

Surely we play finals now. We’ve beaten the top two teams during the past three weeks and should fear no-one.

If, someday it will happen, we didn’t lose key players constantly we’d be morals but we just keep losing them.

There is no way I’m confident at all until it’s statistically impossible to miss the finals, got some tough games still to come

Pies supporters are worse than the whingeing POMS
Yes. Apparently we didn’t win they lost and it was just bad kicking in the third and Charlie getting frees.

We brought the pressure and they smelt the gas. Pressure dents your confidence and makes you miss easy shots on goal. We were a testament to that for 2 months.

Y'know this is a myth, right? He was mates with Jsos and Sos got him in as a junior to play some kick to kick etc with Carlton afl players. So he spent a season or so around the club and 'supported' Carlton because of it. He's never been an actual carlton fan.
Did not know this. Thanks

Did they same to Lycett vs Port
Absolutely fearless when tackling. The guy is twice as big as me, good… just means I can hit them harder!

Not a myth at all, constant references from his dad about being a blues fan, Nick I’ve seen mention it several times in his draft year.

The media used to mention it constantly

Hi all,
Great game tonight.
Congrats on the win.

Question (as I’m genuinely interested):

Does this performance mean you can get over the top of us in finals?
Is it proof you’re the form team to beat?
Or still work to do when the whips are cracking?

Where does this place you?

Was a tactically very interesting game.

Ps: I know I’m posting here on the good graces of the blues fans….but if you’re going waste you’re time trolling me and giving this a “stuff you”….all power to you!!
Some very good questions there.
To answer the first one, it does require a bit of trolling. Can we get over you in the finals. If we both make it to the grand final, yes… easily. Colliwobbles is a term for a reason. 5 GF’s to one. You haven’t beaten us in a premiership match since 1910.
2. If we beat St Kilda and Melbourne in the coming weeks, we are heading into the finals as the form team.
3. There is always work to do.

4. Where does place is… on the path to #17… and #18.

it was a classic match between our two sides. You jumped us in the first 15 minutes before we steadied and drew level. Then in the second, we jumped you and your mob couldn’t handle the pressure. You came at us a couple of times, but we had a handle on it by then and matched you. In the end, it was a match that had the neutrals on the edge of their seats. The dickheads at AFL house are now drooling over the prospect of an old rivals grand final. You still might go in as the minor premiers, but Carlton are on fire right now And that form is building. We thrashed Port, you barely beat them, we beat you handily.

The sleeping giant is waking up finally. Be very scared!

I think I'd rather see McKay taking 20% of the ruck duties to relieve our first ruck rather than having an undersized SOS being battered by the bigger-bodied rucks.
Jack is now jumping over opposition rucks… and when the ball hits the ground, he reacts faster than their rucks and is another midfielder.
