Agreed. This win was so good because we have half the team out. Meant a lot that the way we want to play is now understood by all and guys can step in and do their bit.

A lot of our top end players to come back:
Kennedy (not far off)
Walsh (next week?)
McKay
Cerra
SOS
Boyd (VFL)

Weird reaction from me but when I checked the teams and saw that Clayton Oliver was playing, I was happy. Wanted to see how we would fair against a full-strength Melbourne, with us having so many outs.

That's twelve wins this year now. We just need two more wins now to equal our total of fourteen in the 2011 season.

The thing is though that 2011 Carlton team didn't win eight games in a row. We're in a much stronger place as a club right now, than we were back then imo.

The boys on Blue Abroad channel last night were celebrating that we'd MADE the finals.

Correct me if I'm wrong but mathematically we can still miss out can't we ??? (admittedly a lot would have to go wrong).

Credit to dow, in the VFL he was a dominant clearance mid.

He's now playing a much more balanced team role, I doubted he had it in him

We’d better flipping keep him

Our midfield has been unpredictable to the opposition for large chunks of the last 8 weeks, many different combinations into the centre bounces.
Starting 5 are great players but if there’s one thing I hope Voss and co take out of the last 8 weeks it’s that we be very unpredictable moving forward

Some on the Collingwood board reckon the game was a bad watch. Some people with their rose coloured glasses.....
Absolute game of attrition .
It’s wasn’t a petty game - not many flashy highlights.

The underlying quality was in the contest. The two most contested beast teams toe to toe.

I just love the layers we can peel away when we need to - from staunch attrition to flight-full gunning.

I think Vossy knows what he’s got now - needs to guide them through to the big one.

I'm an old fashioned defender from my playing days I loved the intensity of what the game brought last night. Plus it was nice to see the captain just monster the midfield

One more win should nail a finals spot down for sure.

Many Pies’ fans are already shitting bricks that they might meet us in the GF (or any final for that matter)! Love it!

I’d be so confident if we’ve got a healthy list. For one, their list isn’t as good as ours (I’d argue it’s not even top 4, so kudos to system).

But, more importantly, they have soft and/or slow midfielders who would turn to water in the face of our warriors.

All you youngsters, the ones that have stuck fat. The ones who have had it hard as a Carlton supporter. The ones on here.

This is what I used to feel when I was young.

I love Carlton.
Followed Blues from afar growing up, moved to Melbourne in 2002. Season ticket holder ever since. Been a long stretch.
