Neither. Shitkins at 200k was a risk. At 250k that’s madness. And Ashcroft should stay. Scoring 70-90 will do for now.

Somewhat settled on Plopper and Setters to Humpa and premo, just ummming and ahhhhhing as to which line I’ll upgrade first.

Zorko and Whitfield both single-handedly derailed any chance of having a top 500-1k finish last season so the both of them can go * themselves with a pineapple.

I’ve said this a few thousand times already, but I had the option of getting Dawson instead of Zorko last season at a critical time.

Both were in the low $500’s and scoring decently enough, but Zorko had the better bye.

Dawson played most matches for the rest of the season and averaged 109,
and Zorko repeatedly sharted all over my team with explosive and violent diarrhoea.

If you’re asking me should I park Hopper on the bench for 4-6 weeks to keep a player averaging 90 odd or get Clarry, I Dont really know what to say. I’d make more sense to trade Hopper and keep Ashcroft and not upgrade him TBH.

If he's out for 4 weeks and one of those is a bye anyway, I'm ok parking him on the bench based on the limited number of trades I have left.
If he's your chance to get Clarry then go for it.

Yeah that would sting. Im actually thinking of going a mega POD option.

In comes Rowell, Sinclair & Langford. I think Langford will be needed in the centre now that Parish & Setters are out. He could just be a cash grab but im hoping he could become a cheap keeper. He has big scores in him, but is just very inconsistant. Bombers have a pretty favourable draw coming up too. If i dont go Sinclair/Langford i could go T.Atkins/T.Greene but i dont want to be cheering for Toby ****en Greene.

Gets rid of another non playing rookie.

Unsure about Sharp's long term security.

I wouldn't bother. Wait until the byes so that the rookie you're trading in is a guaranteed warm body IMO (unless you need quick cash to finish your team during the byes – neither of those two are certain to make that, however).

That being said, I'm doing Cowan -> Sharp, but that at least helps me pocket $80k. Roberts is likely just going to remain a season-long loophole at this point for me at that price.

Warner is risky but he has a massive ceiling and is the type of pick that could come off big time if he puts in a massive month or so. I'm pretty set on getting Rowell so i think i might go with Marshall/Chandler/Pedlar to Rowell/Warner/Humphrey and keep Ashcroft. Then i have 114k itb

Obviously some merit in saving the boost and keeping Ashcroft but I've been taking the strategy of trading in underpriced players and its getting me a lot of 80s and 90s. Feel like I need some firepower to finish the team.

I realised that 2 up, 1 down is a better option than risking dicey keepers like T.Atkins & Zorko. I know Warner comes with risk but its lower than Zorko by a considerable margin. I think with almost 115k in the bank, i have the cash for a handy 1 down 1 up combo next week and then its the byes and we have 3 trades per round anyway so it makes sense for me to use my last boost either this week or next (so i choose this week). Ill probably look at someone like Sinclair to complete my backline next week.

Then i will only need 2-3 more upgrades to complete my team and that can happen over the byes. Ideally id get 2 top echelon mids and maybe a R/F like DC to complete it but that may not be possible depending on my cash generation. Anyway, im fairly happy with how my team is shaping up and while trading to Gawn last round didnt really pay off & having the 3 gun rucks (for the round) probably wasnt the most efficient use of funds, i am happy to now be able to dump one (Marshall) and suddenly my team looks a lot better balanced. I dont regret getting Gawn at his lowest either. If Marshall was a late out last week, then its the kind of move that would have paid massive dividends. In the end, i lost points by benching Marshall instead of Gawn but i still dont think it turned out too poorly. It gives me the luxury of trading Marshall at what may well be his highest price point. That has given me a heap of options for this round which is always nice.

I’m reconsidering my trades as I need to get some cash gen going again through some DPP shuffling. I wanna get rid of Macrae so bad but if he gets FWD DPP, at worst he’ll be an F5.

Could get a mid priced defender in or another mid. It’s a really really tough call.

Hollands will be traded and a couple of downgrades could be in order too

I do tend to trust that over time guns are guns and score like guns. He's lost $100k and he's better than what he's delivered so far. Brisbane are probably better than what they've delivered so far, too. That's the argument FOR.

Depends if you want to use all the cash. Laird would be good, but definitely after his bye when he's had a break.

Like most, you have a lot of R15 bye players so maybe not Libba

Decided I'm sticking with the approach of grabbing quality while I can, and worrying about value later for my last three upgrades.

Cowan -> Sharp/Drury
Chandler -> Humphrey
Hopper -> Stewart

Leaves me with the below. After having Sharp in all week, I'm finding myself leaning a bit more towards Drury this morning. He's shit, but is a decent chance to stick around with North's injuries. Main thing though is that he gives me DPP with Simpson/Humphrey, so if Cincotta is dropped (looks likely), I can move one of them on field in his place. If Cincotta somehow holds his spot, I might reverse Drury to Sharp.

Have around $90k leftover – will likely (hopefully) sit on my hands for a couple of weeks now, providing no must-have rookies bob up. Will do the last three upgrades during the byes.
