After yesterday's demolition of Neale and a 61% CBA role it's hard to see JHF not staying in that juicy role moving forward. He will make $200k easily and possibly a keeper if his body holds up to the rigours of the role.

Tom Cole is easily best 22 at WCE based on relentless effort alone and should easily average 65. Our appetite for the hard ball is bordering on anorexia. Based on what I watched yesterday the ball will be in WCE back half a lot too. Hopefully Yeo plays next week so we can determine how his inclusion impacts his role and Simpson's magnets.

Bruhn's TOG is deeply concerning at 64%. The fact the coach didn't trust him when the game was on the line compared to JHF being deployed to try and take the game on (and succeeding emphatically) is telling. There is daylight between these players. North fans would be left pondering how JHF may have fared under Clarko.

Tom Stewart might play next week. If it's less than a two week injury I may hold as my overall ranking ambitions are probably shot (already) with a 5, an 18 and three 50's onfield prior to SBS. Stewart is top 6 easily.

Jones - Cole
Bruhn - JHF

Possible Boost:

Stewart-Daicos/Dawson

With 36 trades now I’m a bit less conflicted about trading Rd 1.

That said, I’m $10k short of:
Stewart -> Daicos
Bruhn -> Gulden

😩

Tempted to leave Bruhn for next week to see if that game was a one-off, in which case I could do Hopper -> Gulden now and leave Bruhn for upgrades.

Think I’ve talked myself into the one trade this week. How boring.

Or I could go Stewart -> POD Richards, then Bruhn -> Gulden… 🧐 🧐 🧐

Inside mid resting forward. Played very close attention, he was in their first choice rotation at the start and also game on the line time, but looked rusty and out of touch. Probably left 20-30 points in the bank from being a step behind.

I'm keeping for now.

I’ve got him and that pretty much mirrors my thoughts after watching him closely yesterday.

Biggest key to remember.

Daicos looks class. There is a few other pies you'd think would cop the tag before he does. Josh was looking dangerous, Jordy too, let alone Tom.

Sheezel won't come up against West Coast every week, but 34 touches was extremely promising.

JHF on the other hand, as good as he looked, he is one I would want to see back it up next week before I bring him in.

I reckon you can go H2H with JDG - most class sides have a mid who can be as damaging.

Nick Daicos off a HBF and running up to the wing? Not so much.

LOL, now that I have calmed down a bit I might either just bench Jones for a week and loop him with Cowan\Wilmont or trade him for Bowes if he is back.

I'm keen on Ziebell too as he will get DPP round 6 so can swing him back.

I'd like Daicos, Sheezel and Chandler too though. :think:

I’d think Ziebell is much more likely to be top 6 forwards than he is top 6 defenders? Or did you just mean for versatility reasons - I’m keeping Ziebell up forward and aiming to get defenders galore.

Sinclair Dawson Docherty Sicily all should be 107+
Stewart probably 107+ even with an injury score
Daicos, Saad could be 105 easily. Rioli could go big too.

Up forward only Dunkley has the capability of that 107+ average, Rozee/Gulden even with a breakout probably top out at 105 max.

Stewart looking likely to be missing until R5.

Don’t see Cowan or Wilmot going 70+

So Jones to Cole.

Eagles still play that slow defensive kicking game. Also think he’s ahead of Witherden for a game who is slow and poor defensively and Hurn is an injury risk at his age.

Gives me 120k in the bank.

Also watch on Aleer for his role today. If he’s 3rd tall could get amongst it. Cheaper than Jones.

Cunnington 1 more week as he got mid time when it was close, looked very slow - he’s always been slow at running but his reaction time has normally been good - so will need significant improvement to stay after round 2.

Plethora of options though - Rozee, Gulden, D.Cameron, JHF, potentially Fyfe

Stewart -> Ridley (Watching his game and seeing his role)

Hopper -> Daicos with some dpp magic.

Keep Jones and see which must have rookie in round 3.
I wouldn't read too much into his role today – Hawthorn's only key talls are Meek and Koschitzke

cunners to sheezel
jones to naicos/rioli
pondering
hopper to JHF , might hold that one off for a week
I'm thinking about doing the Cunners/Daicos trades as well. I'd prefer to keep Cunners but Jones at d3 has been an absolute disaster pick. Also going to have a good look at Hunter Clark today who I swapped for Jones a few hours before the game like a fool, if he smashes it things might get a little less awkward.

Nothing this week, I don't think. Maybe a rookie correction is Chesser gets dropped, but even then, Uwland would be my only option and not sure on his JS.

I'll be watching Macrae's role next week. 60% CBAs doesn't fill me with much confidence after last year. Wouldn't mind downgrading him to LDU and pocketing some cash for other corrections. Seems stupid to consider after 2 rounds, but that role last year... 🤮🤮

Will watch Bytel and Phillipou closely today and maybe swap them, but will wait to do that one too.
