So, my dear SC experts and fellow kents.

Are these the wrong trades?
There is a more sensible option. But I can barely pronounce the word, let alone live it.

Which would you choose? Each reply gets free noodz in their PM's (may or may not be me).

A) Cameron, Setterfield, Ziebell + $424k bank
or
B) English, Oliver, Chandler + $190k bank

I've finished my trades for the week, ended up going:
Macrae > Setters
Chesser > Ziebs
Jones > Daicos

Ratugolea somehow survived the cut as I had a bit of extra cash to trade Chesser instead. It would be lovely if he could put up a nice score this week so I don't have to use a trade on him, won't get my hopes up though.

Worth trading Hopper for Setterfield? No trades last week, feel as if I can make a couple of luxury trades.

Also tossing up Doc or Ridley for Daicos, leaning toward Doc for cash gen, but Ridley doesn't exactly fill me with a tonne of hope right now.

Secret option number three is trading out Flanders. Who to is probably dependent on whether I trade Doc or Ridley. Most likely Ziebell.

I just find it hard to believe Setterpenis is the real deal.

Essendon have flogged a couple spud teams and I think he's relished whatever role they've got currently for him.

Still, cash is cash I guess. With that BE he can be a potato in 2 weeks time and it won't even bother you.

His numbers aren’t particularly world beating though - he is averaging disposal wise similar to what Keays/Simpkin/Ross averaged last year, from a whole lot of mid time. His tackle numbers are above average but what you’d expect from a midfielder who is the defensive one in the group (Parish/Merrett/Shiel).

Probably the outliers are he won’t kick a goal every week and won’t average 7 marks, but even then Essendon do like to chip it around.

I think it’s reasonable to think he can continue a run of 90 scores - not like he’s needed 37 disposals to get his 130+ etc. just role playing as the 3rd mid in the Center square with a defensive mindset.

I’ve decided I can’t risk trading Neale out for LDU, which was actually a money making trade initially, with LDU 2 tags incoming.

I also have chosen D.Cameron over English on the basis of I want Gawn back when he’s 500k in 8 weeks. At that stage I’ll swing Cameron forward as F5/6. Gawn/Marshall to ruck out the year.

Leaves me
Gawn -> D.Cameron
Bowey -> Daicos

70k in the bank. Gonna go shopping soon with Stewart, Macrae, Dale, Gawn, Brayshaw on the list.

Will also consider CMac to Bowes if Bowes tons up again.

I'm going against the crowd and shuffling more to the traditional gnr set-up.

Dale down to McKenna, Ridley to Oliver.
And I think the points and reduction in stress make Kelly to Laird worth the $ hit.

That Cox news makes Cameron a much more enticing buy for me. I'm tempted to go him over Ziebell this week, giving me Darcy's score against West Coast, then potentially move Darcy on next week (for either English, or even Ziebell a week later) if he flounders.

Cameron already looks great. Now he's got an even better role. Bad business not to.

I’ve got concerns over Finn’s shoulder, sort of injury that doesn’t take much to cause major issues + setterfields projected price hikes are pretty reasonable over the next 6 weeks based on realistic projected scores.

Do it. Now is the best time to use the boosts and you still have a bunch left.

Nah my 2nd boost too, if you have had injuries like myself I don't think it's a terrible idea. Last season I had a boost left and used my 2nd last 1 in one of the final rounds because I was too conservative with them. Also even with 6 trades you are still on par with what we started with only a couple of years ago...

Yeah makes sense, I’ve had to use 5 trades so far for injury/correcting rookies and feel I deserve at least 1 luxury trade. I really like Finn and think he’ll be a better SuperCoach player than setters eventually but the cash gen is too much to pass up.

Both should make a ton of cash but I think Ziebell can be a keeper whereas Setterfield isn’t.

Really think Daicos is a must but hate sideways trades. If I were to trade I would go:
Option 1
Ridley to Daicos

Option 2
Young to Daicos

Option 3
Hold

Or can you suggest a better idea?

Whats peoples thoughts on Libba? I'm going to have to sideways someone in order to get both Naicos and Cameron. I'd been focusing on Hodor mainly and toyed with Doch/Rids at various time, but now im contemplating whether Libba as a POD gamble may not be a disaster, but at the same time may not be overly beneficial either. Which could lead to below and $100k in the bank (which allows me to go Goater > Bowes next week)



I could go Ziebell instead of Worpel but that puts Bowes in Jeopardy (would potentially have to sacrifice Jones instead of Goater). Above leaves me with this, Hopper returns to the field next week and Bowes likely comes in as my only trade (injuries aside). Yes I miss chandler but no matter which route I go down they all seem to end in me missing Chandler as bring in Naicos is essential, Cameron is as good as essential and i'd rather get Worpel or Ziebell over Chandler. Ziebell im starting to think im willing to pay a bit more for him in a few weeks time for a higher level of certainty around Hall/past year dropoffs etc.

Yes, advice tends to be 50/50 in regards to whether Ziebell or Setters is a higher priority. Ziebs has DPP certainty and keeper potential whilst Setters probably has higher cash gen and scoring in the short term. However, Ziebs scoring is probably equal or greater against the replacement value.
