After all that umming and ahing about Touk v Laird, Hinkley being a campaigner means I'll have to get Cogs instead or go early on one of these rooks

Yep, me too... Leaning towards going early... Both have DPP too, so just unsure which one of Wagner or Mitchell to go to.

Considering the following
Chesser & Mackenzie for Johnson & Roberts then next week Hollands & Baker for Mitchell/Wagner & Parish/similar priced premo
Mackenzie, Ginbey & Baker for Johnson, Roberts & Parish/similar priced premo

Should I prioritise getting another premo now, or getting rid of Chesser?

This is my team

This is a massive gamble that could pay off. Ratugolea to R2 for a couple of weeks then upgrade to Gawn when he bottoms out.
It gets rid of 2 dead rookies and gets a SP Midfielder as well.

That's next level ballsy. Not sure Rat at R2 is ideal. I have him at F6 and I'm still worried. I fear you missed his best 2 scores.

I know it's a big risk but if Rat can score a 70 it's a win

Who do I take here? Oliver seems like the obvious choice, but his price isn’t going up that much. The three below are on the rise, or do I pickup De Goey or even Laird instead of all of these?

What is everyone doing who still has Chesser? I also have constable and madden as non playing rookies. Worth using a trade to someone like M Johnson?
Only issue is, he might be back in a few weeks? By the time we trade him out, he might be back in.

I think you'd have to trade him out this week if anything.

Original plans out the window.

Outs will be, Ginbey, Long and Mackenzie.
Ins so far are Johnson and Roberts.

Need help with my last in. 561.5k to spend on any line.

Sinclair? Cogs + 60k? Gulden + 60k? I got no idea.
Cogs, god no, please don't. Trust me. It's not worth it.

Gulden, yeah maybe.

Sinclair is my pick of the week. Not tempted by Parish.

I've gone Sinclair. Thinking Steele back should send him permanently to the HBF where he does his best work. His low score this year he still had 26 touches.

Don't love this week's trades, but will probably do Ginbey -> Johnson, Caminiti -> Roberts and Baker -> Cogs.

I've never used this many trades in six rounds (hit hard by injuries), but just need to keep the upgrade pace ticking along.

Only have seven on-field spots left to upgrade (which includes Setterfield and Hopper), so five rookies. Priority is just going to have to be value picks from here on out and hope that the SP group of Dawson, Naicos, English, Oliver, Bont and Neale carries me for now. Will use Setters and Hopper for some more SPs later on.

$480k, premo scoring history, basically a guaranteed top-10 forward who's locked into an 85% CBA role.

He's an easy pick – still finding plenty of the ball. He's never been a great user of the pill, but he won't go at this efficiency for long.

Not worth Cogs based on what though? His two shit scores this year, or that he avg 108 last season when he got over 50% CBA? I get why you'd be annoyed if you started or paid up for him. But at 485k with his scoring with 50%+ CBA going back to last season, it's got to be a no brainer surely.

The only other super value is Butters, but thats way more risky, and im not sure the upside is that much better or that his high CBA's is gonna continue. Im doing my double defense upgrade next week instead (Day and someone else not named Dawson)
