Do we normally give injury updates for VFL listed players? I'd just assume he's got an injury.

The clubs will usually lodge the team sheet with OUT: player (injury) but other than that no. Keep a look out for his local club and see if he plays there this weekend. That will confirm his availability/been dropped

I haven't watched much reserves play so far. What do people make of Will Edwards? I've been excited by him as a potential diamond in the rough as a big key defender in the mould of the current crop of 197cm+, 100kg key defenders.

He has the size and his disposal is quite clean. I think he has alot of potential.

Interesting that he's not even listed as an emergency. For me that means it's either an unlisted injury or perhaps a personal issue / event the club is aware of and know he will definitely not be available.

I actually thought he was a bit selfish at times last week, which I doubt is the instruction for a VFL listed player supporting our reserves. Though I didn’t think he’d get dropped.

I saw him in the Brisbane scratch match (first part) and thought he looked pretty decent. Played forward in that game and mostly picked up the speed OK. Well coordinated. Took a nice mark. Held his own pretty well against big mature bodies. Probably a year or so ahead of where I expected he would be. Didn't really notice him in the Box Hill game.

If Rankin shows he is better than a cardboard cutout he’d be an upgrade on Cunningham. Given Horses strategic preference for minimal possession players he’d be advised to get no more than 10.

I'm pretty sure Cleary & Crocker are wearing each other's numbers.

The Bullants look more dangerous going forward but I suppose that's expected. We lose all forward structure when McLean, Amartey etc are out of the side, and now we don't even have Francis there.

I also just want to see Sheather think his way through situations more rather than just dishing it off to the nearest human being when he's under pressure.

Something I have noticed today that is also prevalent in the seniors is players are no longer taking the first option. We are constantly getting caught with the ball after second guessing the first choice option. What would be causing this across both teams?
