Very effective first half, if not always pretty. Stretch rucked the first quarter and Hick the second. Roberts very strong. Warner handy. Cleary looks the goods, effective both with the ball and in the tackle. Strong. Looks like a listed player. Backs generally not having too much to do but doing it OK. Ladhams doing SFA. Suspect he has lost a lot of fitness with that ankle. Konstanty involved which is good to see.
Ball movement only occasionally coherent but good hands help a lot.

Cleary only credited with the two tackles to half time, but I would be astounded if that's correct - wouldn't surprise if he's laid five so far.

Best thing about him is he looks balanced. Doesn't lose his feet easily, has time to find the right option by hand. Doesn't seem an explosive player, but he's tough and plays as a pure inside mid. And he's got a decent frame on him.

Owen with only 2 disposals to HT...

not much game time

bizarre we now have so many talls in the 2s. Pre MSD HHK was our mainone tall target up forward with Owen. Hugo looks like a gnome.

MacAndrew looked terrific that quarter and Hickey getting his mitts on the pill as well. Ladhams is a long way from match fitness.

Riders goal was elite and happily Jacob K is showing promise. Edwards, Magor and Mitchell have all had good moments.

Matty Roberts tho on limited minutes that quarter looked great. Delighted with Cleary who was also directing traffic at clearance set ups.

As caesar88 says the 2s have been the vibe all year and today is no exception.

I'd say our tactic with CC will be to sit back and match what ever bid he attracts. Most of the "experts" don't rate him top 30 so we should get him for next to nothing.

I agree. I think Arnold would be a better option. He's very athletic and cleaner with his disposal. More of a like for like Rampe replacement than Francis aka the "QE2".
If you look at the kicking of McCartin and even Blakey sometimes I don't think elite kicking is what the coaches would be after from our key backs. More an ability to win one on ones and read the play. Francis has shown more in that regard today, plus also has the inside track on Arnold anyway based on having already played 11 senior games this year.

Not at all and i watched LRT from his 1st game at Port Melbourne
i reckon he does, I saw plenty of LR right from the start as well, he used to hesitate something shocking when he first came in when he had ball in hand

Negative commentary around LRT is akin to criticising Nick Daicos.

Shame KtT, shame!
hahahaha...we are talking early days LRT, not the legend he became...

Stephens has been really involved but all his inside 50s haven't been at the forwards advantage. Sometimes I would just rather that he goes for goal (he is a pretty good kick for goal most of the times).
