Pick 25? Tell them they are dreaming.
If we do proceed with the trade it will be some sort of token trade McCarthy type.
The guy has not played for two years due to ACL and other injuries so I expect a smooth, cooperative agreement between two reasonable, knowledgeable list managers.

Quickly checks Who is St Kilda's list manager.
Oh Ok.
Rayner plus pick 25 OGTFOH.

Wouldn't mind Shane McAdam. Not sure he'd be best 22 though

I know our name was thrown in the hat but he really was a tad disappointing in the second half of the season when inside Geelong they kept talking him up.

He is an extremely average player.

Big yes on Coffield for me. Didn't see the full game but was very good early against Williamstown a few weeks ago, he reminded me a bit of Nick Blakey. Had an okay first game back against the VFL Pies in the wet whenever that was but was quiet for a lot of the game as you'd expect. Fair bit of upside there and will be very cheap after being out of the game so long. We've wanted a mobile intercepter with good skills for a while, pretty sure we made two rebuffed attempts at getting Ridley. Don't think he's anywhere near as good defensively as Ridley but I see him as a good fit for our backline mix, maybe wing.

I don't think he is. Also only a year younger than Charlie. Any small forward we look at should ideally be able to peak and pick up from Charlie when he starts to drop off.

Any interest in Will Brodie who could be on his way out of Freo for more opportunity?

No way. There was a reason he wasn’t getting many games at the Coast and while his year last year was good barely play at all this year.

Still young but has been pretty underwhelming since 2020. Agree he has talent.
Probably will go home sometime in the future to whatever club drafts his brother in the upcoming draft.

Duursma (of the Port variety) grew up a Lions fan.

Don’t know about the younger brothers.

Willem Duursma, the youngest brother, was named in the U16 AA team this year. He’s a KPD/3rd tall type. Considered the most talented of the 3 brothers, and that’s saying something as Twomey has Zane Duursma rated at 6 in his current phantom form guide.

Future first for Duursma with some bidding points coming back?

The quote in this from the SEN SA dude suggesting that Duursma is out of contract is just wrong? First google search result indicates that he re-signed in 2021 until the end of 2024.

I doubt he's someone port are willing to part with regardless, and we may have limited ability to move out a future first pick pending any AFL review of the bidding rules.
