I don't really see it benefitting Essendon if we match.
Shades of a scene from the movie Deliverance if we do…
And not talking about the Dueling Banjos scene either

bit flat on this but assuming we must have something else cooking in the ruck department. can’t see Clarko willingly going into the season with Xerri as number 1.

The Preacher is a cracking comic book.

The series was ok.

Now if we were to downgrade one of those future PPs into a future second of some type, that I can get behind. Even WC's future third rounder wouldn't be a bad deal.

Dunno, maybe just me but I think the sweet spot for upgrading 2 to 1 is somewhere between 1 of the future PP's and both of them. Just have to find the right way to do it and keep everyone happy.

I call that space Tom Powell.

We’ll have mids out the wazoo, keep the firsts for KPP.

Joel Hamling has a 1 year deal in front of him with freo that he has yet to sign

A free agent so I’d be putting 2 years in front of him and get him for free to help with our KPD stocks. Finished the year well
We'd need to trade so as not to dilute our return from Buckets leaving.

Shame on Goldstein for choosing* and not Collingwood.

But anyone who thought it was for premiership opportunities forget he had his chance for that years ago, it’s clearly about stability.

In saying that, if I’m Essendon. This isn’t a coup. This is from Bard’s 2016 playbook.

I really hope we end up with a decent key defender in this draft. I don't get the hype around trading up for pick 1 and Harley either.

We need key positional reinforcements.

I can see Xerri and Greenwood rucking the year out with CCJ… then going for Sean Darcy in the free Agency period. We’ll soon see what contract length Darcy puts signature too. Means right now, Fremantle resigned to the fact they’ll accept whatever free agency brings as they believe the offers will be too low?

An anonymous trade Twitter account that says "nothing will happen" won't get very far.
Need our own account, the “Trade Kerridge”
Plenty of crap with just a hint of believability

We had big key defenders the entire year and sucked. I don’t believe they are that important any longer. We will be fine with what we have, we wont go any worse thats for damn sure. Rebounding and less halfback/midfield turnover is much more important right now
