I understand the arguments that we've invested a lot in the midfield already, but first and foremost our biggest list need is talent.

I would genuinely offer 2&3 to Melbourne for Oliver and 6, with the intention of taking whoever is left between Watson and Sanders. Throw in one of the PPs if that's what it takes.

I don't think the red flags here are any worse than when Martin and DeGoey were shopped around. Stringer, while not the same level of player, also played his best football after being moved in similar circumstances.

Maybe Viney has heard too many horror stories from his son to make it happen, but if Clarkson and Viney approve the decision I'm 100% in favour of doing whatever it takes.

Agree though underwhelmed so far but given like Phillips he has been injured so I wouldn't write him off yet...

If we were to trade for Oliver and assuming he has some significant baggage as rumoured, my offer would be pick 3 for Oliver with pick 13 coming back to us plus Melbourne pays 300k of his contract.

Picks 3 and 6 is enough for Melbourne to get the deal done for pick 1 and we still hold pick 2 to secure McKercher. Plus we get another KPP in the 1st round.

He had injury issues even before being drafted though. Part of why it was a bad pick. Very little chance he has a career at the Eagles.
