would defs consider this. having 4 picks in the top 20 would do wonders to both filling in positional needs aswell as quality. reid 1 o sullivan 6 then archer reid and edwards at the other 2 picks.
I think I messed up a few of the pick numbers but you get the idea. NM -1 (Reid) , WCE - 2 (Curtin), GWS - 3 (McKercher), Hawks - 4 (Duursma/Watson), Dogs - 5 (Watson/Duursma/Sanders?), Demons - 6 (Caddy/Watson/Sanders), NM - 7 (O'Sullivan/Caddy). Academy bids push the numbers back as well. Ultimately, Ï'm not sure I'd do the trade as whilst you get Reid you risk passing on the best four in your order from that McKercher/Duursma/Watson/Sanders/Caddy/O'Sullivan group.
It would also be unlikely to get 5 teams to agree to a mega trade but a bit of fun to think about.

We were having a crack at Port for bringing in meh players such as Zerk Thatcher, Esava, Sweet, etc. But I'm not sure we're doing much better with the likes of Clark and Stephens?

Disagree with both comments... port are filling gaps with solid afl players.... a defence with allir esava and bzt looks a lot better. They don't really have the capital to bring in that level of player let alone superstars.... they will need next yrs first as a bare minimum... particularly what gee are expecting for esava.

We are doing the same... filling in some holes with solid players. We again don't have the draft capital as looking to use the majority of picks at the pointy end of draft

Port are good and we are shit. Very fortunate anyone wants to play for us at present.

You'd have to think West Coast are going to go hard at this draft.

With the number of delists and three big retirements, rebuilding with 1, 19 and 2 x 30s won't be enough, and without a lot of quality to trade out for picks, that leaves them either splitting 1 or trading their F1.

They would certainly be worth talking to

Howe has served his purpose; he only played half a season, and even then 4 as a sub, and the rest of the time the VFL side benefited a lot from having a big midfield body
And the departures of Atley and Macmillan had left a gaping hole in our whipping boy stocks.

SPS being delisted isn’t surprising but it’s always disappointing to see someone with so much talent go like that.

Wonder if someone will pick him up?

Does anyone have any info on why every other team has players officially listed in their NGA, but we have none? Did we just stop funding it during covid, and the AFL just wiped it clean. Pretty short sighted if the case.
More questions need to be asked around this, if you are going to ask a journalist to do some digging I would start here I reckon. Something smells

I wouldn't call us shite... we are developing and have a lot of quality 25 and under.... players can see that and coupled with the Clarko/viney partnership there are players that want to be part of it

You aren't going to rebuild in one draft
