Not saying anything about specific players, but it’s possible for a fringe player at a club playing in a preliminary final to be a valuable asset and significant upgrade for a club coming off several years at the bottom of the ladder.

He's contracted so you pay whatever is being asked otherwise he stays

Not the exact point I was making.

It would be near criminal if we pay anything resembling a F2 for a nice to have, but not essential, player that has played 2s for most of the year. We should walk away if F2 is the final demanding price. Similar to Clark last year in that we shouldn’t be overpaying.

Didn't Brady put #3 (Wardlaw) on the table for #9 (Phillipou) & Clark?

That may have topped the CCJ, Tarrant and JHF deals if the Saints accepted it.

Haha that was what St Kilda asked for. Rawlings said no.

I recall talk we were going to trade it for their 2022 and 2023 firsts and then they sacked Ratten. I know from the Saints side internally they were worried they were going to be a bottom 4 side.

It was a let off for sure.

It's all speculation.... I'm sure we know what he is worth in our minds and will pay accordingly or walk away

The saints offered that and then we laughed at them in the most mocking manner possible.

Bummer. They were the least painful of the 3 to visualise him wearing the kit for.
True, but it will be immensely satisfying if he went to the hawks. Purely because the hawk posters have been shitting on north and Ben on the trade board for the last month, and they would have to walk back all their comments.

Shows that success isn't high on his priority list

It's been suggested he sees his worth the same as his brother. So not surprising in that sibling competitive sense, he is looking at the so-called big Melbourne club in *. My guess is that is where he lands. He'll be able to go toe to toe with Harry on the podcast as to which club is bigger, he earns similar dollars, blah, blah, blah.

I bet they play each other next year for the first time.

too right. one of the reasons clubs make the top four during finals is they have quality depth.
