Disagree no way the Dogs offer 3 first rounds picks for pick 5, that is insane and they could very well just miss the finals again next year
We don’t know how desperate they are though.

I daresay we're waiting to see what happens with the Richmond job too, might be hard for McQualter to go back if he misses.

Surely Clarkson has picked up the phone to Trent Cotchin too.

I wouldn't mind an assistant that has been under Hardwick tbh.

McRae and Kingsley's playing styles are both excellent.

If Croft doesn’t nominate them it makes not much sense to do that deal at all.

Does he have to by trade week? It might be something that’s done in live trading.

I think that's a bit of a mistake from the journo's imo.

Either way, I've love to know who the player is we are wanting to move up for with the GC pick.

Has to be one of Watson, Curtin or O'Sullivan imo.

Question is, who are the dogs after so desperately with that pick to give up 3 first rounders?

McKercher or Sanders imo.

They haven't taken a midfielder in 6 years, it's not often you can potentially get the best pure mid in the draft at #5, but there's a chance this year.

Would prefer Dow over Fisher. Read an article yesterday dating a few years ago talks about his Grandfather playing 18 games for North. Grew up a North supporter, Archer was his idol.

At least Fisher has exposed afl form at half back.

Taking out the romance I'm struggling to see what Dow would add to our list. He's an inside clearance mid.

I heard something on SEN today along the lines of they pay BMac 500 x 5 but with triggers…….triggers cant be included in compo. Would not surprise to see Hawks outsmart us.

Then we match lol.

I'd be more than happy to get the F1 involved. Send the club a message that we're going to improve next year.

It's all mids at the top next year anyway.
With potentially 4 picks inside 15 this year, I can't see us trading out of next year. If everything falls into place as expected, we're in a stellar position already, so no need to undermine our situation next year to improve it still further

Surely they wouldn't be thinking that we'd be passing up on McKercher. Or at least I hope we aren't!

Correct; the whole point of FA for the recruiting club is they don't want to spend draft capital to get a player.

None of Swans, Hawks or * want to trade for McKay, they have no incentive to try and stooge the contract to minimise compensation as it will only encourage a match

Or Sanders since we won't get him free. AFL may have said, we can't give you Sanders but we can give you 11 and F1. You can trade that to GC and select him.
