The Roos have a good chance to secure a mid-first-round pick from the AFL Commission next week, so could offer picks 11 and 14 as a starting point for the Suns’ No.4 with a future selection thrown in.

" It would give them picks 2, 3 and 4 – a perfect draft hand or a chance to go hunting for No.1 overall pick Harley Reid "

Fat chance of that happening if we have 2, 3 & 4 !
Im not against trading 2 and 5 for 1, 19 and 33.
They'll likely take McKercher and gives us Reid and one of Curtin or Watson
We should also have pick 28(29) from GC leaving us the trade capital for this years targets.

Im also good in just taking 2,3 and 5 to the draft. But dont see how we could go wrong with adding the attacking flare of Reid and Curtin to our back 6.

ROOS EYE PICKS BONANZA

North Melbourne is interested in a trade for Gold Coast’s pick 4 that would secure the Roos three of the top four picks in the national draft.

The Herald Sun understands the Bulldogs lead the chase for the Suns’ pick, having offered up picks 10, 17 and a future first-rounder in exchange.

The Dogs will have those first two picks swallowed up in a bid for father-son Jordan Croft so have to trade them out, and have strong interest in pint-sized mid-forward Nick Watson.

Adelaide and Melbourne can offer better deals than the Dogs’ 10 and 17, so the Dogs would have to throw in the future first-rounder to get a deal done.

NEW HINT ON NO.1 PICK

Clubs are still waiting on what top 20 picks in their third season will be paid under the new CBA, but believe it will help the Eagles pick Reid.

Top 20 picks will now be on a mandated wage to help clubs retain elite talent.

It will help the Eagles because even if Reid did want to return home after two seasons he would be contracted, so they would have much more leverage.

The Roos will still attempt to offer up trade packages to secure the No.1 overall pick as they await details on how much those third-year stars will be taking home in their pay packets.

It would give us a picks 2,3 and 5 ..not 4 ..Hawks have 4

Yep this is just to ensure we can’t even bid on him at 5 lmfao we are getting screwed out of Sanders I bet my arse.

So if we had 2 and 3 and managed to get 5 from GC and the Dawks took Durs we couldn’t take Sanders at 5 because you can’t match a bid on an NGA under pick 40 lmfao..

**** they are an awesome lot the AFL..

Wat.

We could just select him with 5 if we wanted to….

I could be wrong but wasn't the reason Chol left Richmond & nominated GC was so he could be close to his family?
I dont think he cares anymore.
He wants to play AFL and knows he's stuck behind even more key forwards after this years draft.

No we can’t if he is part of our NGA, we don’t have the ability to match bids inside the top 40 unlike GC and GWS unless the AFL changed the rules..
of course you can pick him at 5.
You just cant match other people's bids.

So for donuts like me sitting here going "well, idk" .... sooo, we can pick him whenever, but are not able to match a bid under 40 if someone else bids on him? The reason then we're after 2,3 and 5?
