Genuinely shocked how many people are, without penalty or deletion, stating the McStay video thing is 100% fact - and likely on other forums here too. Bigfooty higher ups don’t know about Voller v Nationwide News Pty Ltd? Ginnivan is probably too much of a lad but if I was the player involved I’d be lawyering up right now.

Yeah but it does fry your brain and alter your mental state significantly. It's a slippery slope. Recovery time can be longer too.
No way, a big night drinking alcohol takes a way harder toll on Ur body than snorting a few lines. The problem is nearly everybody combines the two which exacerbates the downsides of each other.

My experience also - when I dabbled with the marching powder back in the day if I refrained from booze or just had a couple of drinks I was absolutely fine the next day albeit maybe a bit tired. Hangovers absolutely wreck me comparatively.

Yeah the combination of tanking your dopamine and your serotonin all at once is the recipe for a hangover even dirty bird and powerade can't fix.

I had one of the worst hangovers on my life one NYD and all day I just wanted some Maccas chips and one of their weirdly refreshing syrupy Cokes. Finally mustered up the energy sometime in the afternoon to drive up (back before the civilised days of food delivery) and get a quarter pounder meal. Don't even care about the burger but eat it first - pick up the chips and with the hangover shakes still going I just drop them all over the floor where my two dogs dart in to commence the clean up. I'm now on the floor feverishly trying to fight them both off while scooping what chips I could back into the packet. Genuinely one of the lower moments of my life.

Dated a heart specialist a handful of times, she said that the blow does irreversible damage fairly quickly if you keep at it. You do damage each time.

Drinking can be bad, but you won’t have your heart cry uncle at 40 from it unless you really, really like it to Leaving Las Vegas type levels.

im sure that's true but has nothing to do with immediate recovery for athletes

it's called carpet surfing and is usually done by heroin/crack addicts... not by blokes wanting a fix of their maccas chippies haha

Thankfully I was dealing with hardwood floors!

Am I the only one not overly impressed with next years FA class?

The only ones I think we would chase would be McLuggage, Marshall, and Battle. There will be 17 other clubs trying to sign them too.

Unless they change FA to be 6 years in.

Our forward line was our biggest weakness and we have undoubtedly strengthened it this trade period, and that's without moving on any of our midfielders to do it. That's a big plus.

I'm surprised we didn't trade Meek though TBH. We may have got a decent pick (2nd or 3rd rounder).

Yeah this is essentially it. If we sat on our hands and copped injuries to Mitch Lewis or Bruest dropped in form early next year we would’ve seriously struggled to kick any sort of scores.

Any famous sports people/media personalities who dies of heart disease, I think of this automatically.

Ive had 2 family friends who were coke fiends for years both die in their early 40s from a heart attack and I personally put it down to coke abuse.

All anecdotal evidence obviously

Happy with our business so far, we improved a noted weakness without compromising our draft hand - onwards to the draft.

This thread however has jumped the shark, on top of the woe is me group we now have bush lawyers and bush toxicologists. No one is getting sued, and you can play high level sport whilst taking/on recreational drugs - now shut up.

I'm more of an urban legal analyst - but sorry if my not liking people being publicly defamed rankles you.

Were you really expecting there to be more trade news in this thread when the trade period is now over? If you want to read about the players we got - go to the threads. If you want to read about the draft - go to that thread. If you want to not read a thread that people have made a mission for weeks for constantly derailing - don't read this thread. Now shut up.

Do you know what else causes heart issues? Intense exercise, when performed regularly and over an extended period of time. AFL players probably experience the worst of it considering the physical demands.

The dose makes the poison, obviously. Occasionally partaking isn't going to cause too many problems.

Happy with the trade period we had .

You very rarely get susperstars in trade and we have added a mobile KF and small forward who both know how to kick goals to a weak area of the ground.

Love Gunners back and think he will add a lot to the club in general . Would suprise to see him play high and drifting back as needed .

Straight away the forwardline looks more potent and likely to kick 80+ points.
Mass is a nice get too and think he slots in nicely with our game style . Glad we did the trade yesterday , get him into the club and show him he was wanted.

Would have liked to keep Ryan but reality is he has played 1 good game in 3 , looks likely but you cant knock him getting a great deal elsewhere.

Add pick 4 ( jet ) , Mcabe and possible Dear thats good going this off season.
Wouldnt suprise if we throw another Weddle style curveball in at draft .

Ginny and the Wizard will play tag team. Mosquito fleet will be back
