Are you mark?lol, it's not a classified secret. It's more par for the course. Every team will approach the teams above them in the top draft order to ask the question otherwise they wouldn't be doing their job. Happens every year.

Hard pass.A bit of a dream scenario, but would anyone else be on board with trading pick 5 and our future first if it landed us McKercher and another top 10-15 pick this year?
Speaking personally I'm with theiaofseed. Hard pass.A bit of a dream scenario, but would anyone else be on board with trading pick 5 and our future first if it landed us McKercher and another top 10-15 pick this year?
Would have to be a top 6 to consider it.A bit of a dream scenario, but would anyone else be on board with trading pick 5 and our future first if it landed us McKercher and another top 10-15 pick this year?
Yeah we are big on another pick in this draft. It will be on draft night like last year I reckon a target that is still available that we think should have gone earlier.My understanding is we won’t be trying to split our pick 4.
If anything we will be trying to trade our f1 for a pick this year and aim to have pick 4 + another top 10 pick.
Or, still trying to lock in pick 1 by trading the above (which is looking unlikely).
If the burden of this knowledge feels too much to bear, please feel free to share, my PMs are always open.Yeah we are big on another pick in this draft. It will be on draft night like last year I reckon a target that is still available that we think should have gone earlier.
That would mean Curtin, McKercher & Caddy would still be available. We'd almost certainly take one of them rather than risking.
I wouldn't have paid 25c for Carlton Draught if it was an option at the time.
I'm a craft beer drinker and I regularly pay $15+ for a single beer. In this instance, $15 each for Kaiju Krush pale ale and a rose' cider was way too much.
I'm not saying what the club would do, but I personally wouldn't. I reckon of those three Curtin is the better prospect for us.
Its no burden we have list of players ordered from 1 - X. If any one of those players that we rank say top 12 or marked as to get is still available at say pick 16 or so on we try and buy into the draft. Its exactly how it worked last yearIf the burden of this knowledge feels too much to bear, please feel free to share, my PMs are always open.
If you look at the players we have in our midfield and the players getting squeezed out of it too, I'm not taking McKercher. I hope we don't have to choose whether to pick him or not at 5. Let North take him and he can walk to Tassie after a bit if he wants. No big deal.A bit of a dream scenario, but would anyone else be on board with trading pick 5 and our future first if it landed us McKercher and another top 10-15 pick this year?
We won't do trades earlier but hope we have talked to teams in advance so when it is our turn and if we feel like we can land our player target at 6 and Demons want our pick 4.Yeah we are big on another pick in this draft. Do you have any ideas on how we can buy in. Not sure we would want to give up our F1 at that stage, only a swap of F1's makes sense.Its no burden we have list of players ordered from 1 - X. Another weddle? For the right player, alwaysWho would trade their top 10 pick this year for our F1?
I don't see anyone in the top 7 doing it. And then we know how Geelong & Essendon like to operate. They don't have any other picks until Pick 25 or after, so I doubt they'd give up Pick 8 or 9.
The next best is Adelaide's Pick 10? Which will likely be Pick 11 or 12.
Is trading our F1 for Pick 11 worth it?

You must of missed the many many many posts on how we won’t trade downWe won't do trades earlier but hope we have talked to teams in advance so when it is our turn and if we feel like we can land our player target at 6 and Demons want our pick 4.
then a 3 way deal with Cats is what I would propose.
Demons 4 <-> 6+11
Cats 11 + Hawks F1 <-> 8 + Cats F1
Hawks 6 + 8 + Cats F1 <-> 4 + Hawks F1
Not sure how keen demons are to move 2 spots up. All depends on who North pick at 2 & 3. Have heard variations of McK & Duur to Durr + Wiz or even McK + Curtin

Maybe. Or perhaps we haven’t gone to the draft hard enough yet in terms of volume and we should be open to ways to improve our draft hand this year and next.You must of missed the many many many posts on how we won’t trade down
Serves you right. It speaks volumes about the quality of your character. I mean that with as much offence as possible.I use to be and then over Covid I craved a cold pot of Draught from the keg?
I have not gone back and I have put on a few kilos since Covid aswell!

Trading into the draft is ok but going to be very hard to do when our F2 is now linked to Collingwood and worth very little. While our F1 has a lot more value than trading in for a pick after 12. Even then I’d want extra if we are going to do that.Read this below... to understand the worth of us trading into the draft
