Yes and our trading whilst securing the players and points needed this year, has us in a much weaker position next year to make a play for a big fish without trading out of both drafts. A slide from 4 to 6 could potentially allow us to rectify that so at a minimum it needs strong consideration.Get as many F1 as possible

Osullivan. Completes our backline the more I watch of him the better I like him. Good mark and spoiler is able to get involved and averages more than 20 touches. I like that he can break tackles or stand up in them and distribute he’s also a pretty decent kick. He’s 198cm and 92kgs so should play early unlike mccabe who will take a few years. Has also played forward and midfield so has versatility too. Way in front of anyone else in that range. This assumes none of the top 5 slip through.Who would you take at Pick 6 if we move down?
Bonner not Bonar is one of a couple of DFA's we've spoken to.Wait, are we rumoured to be interested in Aiden Bonar or Riley Bonner? Both names seem to be being used interchangeably ITT
Caddy.Who would you take at Pick 6 if we move down?
I can just imagine what would happen on this board if Watson was available at 4 and we swapped for 6 & 11 then Dogs take him at 5.A slide from 4 to 6 could potentially allow us to rectify that so at a minimum it needs strong consideration.
Not for mine don’t like his kicking action at all. As a third forward you need better disposal than that as a lot of your craft is as a link to the KPFs. in a strong draft he wouldn’t go in the first round. O’Sullivan is the only one and maybe sanders that are in the conversation with the top 7 including Walter and read.Caddy.
But I'd take him at 5
The dogs would take him at 5. At 6 we get curtin or O’Sullivan plus 11 which we can convert into multiple futures. I didn’t say we must do it but we should consider it we have so little future capital and that hurts us on multiple fronts for the 2023 draft and our ability to come back in, 2024 draft, chasing a big fish etc. if we love the wizard then take him but unless it is that strong I would rather focus on bringing more high end talent in. How do we get the ZZ in the brown and gold if we don’t?I can just imagine what would happen on this board if Watson was available at 4 and we swapped for 6 & 11 then Dogs take him at 5.
I think we shouldn’t be too cute with our selection.
If available, we take Wiz at pick 4 IMO.
Ginnivan and Wiz in the same forward line will be epic. The excitement and goals from these kids will remind us of the Cyril/Puopolo days Just imagine 10+ years of this!
*this is assuming we don’t miraculously get pick 1

100% this at the elite level.
And the cost of alcohol is what currently drives the rest of society towards it.
I paid $30 for 2 beers served in plastic cups at a concert on Friday night.
To be fair only the milking of the free has been taken away. If he goes in normal for the ball and starts to set a standard of not milking it then you'll be surprised how quickly things turns. I'm confident that Sammy will be coaching this out of game which has already started in his last season at Collingwood. Worth noting that he copped a few legit high ones that were let go but that's the badge he has to wear now until the tide turns. How Ginnvan does not pressure like either of those and he cannot take a pack mark also he is not as quick as either.
Not sure how you can compare Ginnivan to either?
The only comparison is Poppy use to play for the old drop the knee and raise the arm to high free kick and that has been taken away from Ginnivan now??

Even with Wiz and Duursma gone?4 either goes up to 1, or is not moved.

At 11 I take Darcy Wilson or trade it for future picks as outlined in an earlier post.
Even with as much as we need forwards yes we still hold firm. Just my opinion but dropping down the order so early in our rebuild for fit would be silly. Passing on someone like McKercher for say Caddy and a shot someone else is something we'd regret longterm.Even with Wiz and Duursma gone?
That would mean Curtin, McKercher & Caddy would still be available. We'd almost certainly take one of them rather than risking.Even with Wiz and Duursma gone?

It would be interesting because I think we might be tempted to downgrade in that scenarioThat would mean Curtin, McKercher & Caddy would still be available. We'd almost certainly take one of them rather than risking.
I hope it was Carlton Draught otherwise you were ripped off?

OkWe've pretty much stated publicly that we're not interested in downgrading.
We've said as much to the teams below us who have asked.
Fair enough mate. I look forward to a high end pickWe've pretty much stated publicly that we're not interested in downgrading.

lol, it's not a classified secret. It's more par for the course. Every team will approach the teams above them in the top draft order to ask the question otherwise they wouldn't be doing their job. Happens every year.
