Want to trade up badly to get Reid. I feel he's the final piece to this midfield, the fwd/mid Martin match-winner. Newcombe (Petracca), Day (Bont), Nashy (battering ram), Ward (Merrett), Mackenzie (S. Mitchell) & Reid (Martin) would be the highest upside midfield in the game.

The problem isn't making a good offer - it's trying to match North (potential offer of 2, 15, Future First) or GWS (4, ~7).

You need a balanced team to win flags not a team of mids, we're not building an AA team here.

Worpel, Day, Newcombe, Nash, Ward, Mackenzie, MacDoanald, Moore and Amon thats the midfield we're working with already and thats without the random draftee that develops, we don't need Reid, what we need is KP's.

Sam this week on Kane's show, mentioned that we are in need of a key type Frwd before anything else. Let's just keep that in mind when hypothesizing about throwing multiple pix at Harley.

It's Caddy or Curtin, maybe the other Reid. But much more likely the first two. My personal preference is Caddy - honestly he sounds like the tailor made player to compliment Lewis.

I think people are going a bit overboard with the idea of ‘3 first founders for Reid’. That doesn’t mean north would give up pick 2, 15 and another pick 2 for one player. That is mental. If it were to happen it would be something like pick 5, 10 and 15 with a mix of 2023 and 2024, even then feels unlikely. If we want pick 1, pick 3 and a future first would comfortably get it done but I doubt we do it.

There’s no way that would get it done not even close. We need to forget Reid we need another early pick to IMO add 2 of Caddy Duursma Watson. Several options to do that I am sure after last year they are working on them.

i think we will take best available with pick 3* (fwd/mid/back) and then try and trade back into the 1st round and target a fwd we like that's still on the board

Correct. All draft boards have these 2 locked in the top 2 now.

If we do bundle multiple picks up into one, we will have to lose something of value. I hope we don't personally.

Sorry, I thought your earlier post was insinuating we’d get a first round pick for a salary dump.

If we can get a pick off GWS for instance, I’d love if we just went to the draft with it and our original pick. Plenty of talent in the top 20!

Adding Watson/Caddy + Archer Reid + McCabe to our current list would be bonkers.
