We have bugger all points at present outside our first pick, we might need to bid on McCabe in the first round as well as Dear and possibly TJ later in the piece. We won’t be marching players to the PSD and other clubs will know this also.

An dear will will cost little in bidding points!

I’d be happy with the Tigers paying the suns for us to get Chol and Kosi to the tigers. They’re on par and it would fair all round.

I'm thinking Hawks can downgrade Pick 3 to help bring Pick 4 along with Chol.

Trade 1 with the Giants:

Hawks:
In: Pick 3, Pick 15
Out: Pick 3

GWS:
In: Pick 3
Out: Pick 6, Pick 15

Trade 2 with the Suns:

Hawks:
In: Pick 4, Chol
Out: F1st, Pick 15, Pick 30

Suns:
In: Hawks F1st, Pick 15, Pick 30
Out: Pick 4, Chol

Use Pick 4 to get whoever isn't taken from Duursma/Watson or McKercher

Use Pick 6 to get O'Sullivan and draft a highly talented KPD to grow with the team.

I'd use the points from trading out Kosi & Brockman to get enough points for McCabe.

This I feel would take care of our need for a KPF who's ready to go. While we missed out on McKay. I think O'Sullivan will turn out to be the best KPD of this draft.

Out of McKercher/Duursma/Watson. I feel Watson is the most likely to be remaining at Pick 4, so he would address the whole left by brockman leaving, Wingard being injured. And Bruest getting another year older.

Oh for * sake - no, I’m just accepting of the reality we’re in. Other people might like the club to act like a petulant toddler - being that I deal with one all day I know that stamping your feet doesn’t generally get the desired outcome. I’d prefer points in the bank for our draft targets this year.

It’s bugger all, and if we fall short by that amount and have to go into deficit it may not even affect our pick next year and at worse may drop us one or two positions on the ladder! It’s not stamping our feet its letting the other teams know we won’t be walked over anymore.

My toddler certainly doesn’t drop the F-bomb around - would be funny as hell if he did though.

And letting teams have what they want for free and getting nothing in return isn’t remotely as authoritarian or strong as you think it is. Do you think anyone thought ‘wow Gold Coast are tough as balls’ when they let Martin go for free. No, they laughed at them because they’re a pathetic non-entity who pissed away two second rounders they could absolutely have used. Same with St Kilda and Ball. No team throwing the PSD tantrum has come out of it stronger.
