That’s not an AFL page. It’s run by a kid.

That the font used for 'trade hub' doesn't give this away astounds me. Serious 'graphic design is my passion' vibes.

West Coast wants to take Tongala prodigy Harley Reid with the first pick in the national draft unless North Melbourne is prepared to swap picks 2 and 3.
The Eagles have settled on Reid as their clear top target and were left impressed by his interview at the draft combine last week, with some likening his presence to Hawthorn champion Luke Hodge.
2 and 3 is insane price for some that hasn't played an AFL game.

No inside information but my take;
Brocky for Eagles pick 36
Kozi for Tigers F3
Hawks F3 for Chol
Hawks F4 for Massimo
Pick 31 + 36 for Suns F2 + late picks for McCabe/Dear/Jiath bids

I wouldn't be trading our F1 to get into the draft after pick 6 knowing it probably will be another top 5 pick next year.. Just need to have patience through the rebuild

if someone we like slides and we have to pay a bit overs for it I'm happy to pounce. MM is allowed to get a bit ambitious after the success of the Weddle trade last off-season. Plus there's been talk on here we don't rate next year's draft crop as highly as the first round this year.

I’d be happy with that, but I’d also trade a future 1st in to grab something we like.

According to that article Roos are looking at McKercher & Duursma.

Hopefully they do trade with the eagles and that slides Duursma down to us.
Not that surprising really- baring any trades it’s looking like this:

1) Eagles - Reid
2) GC match bid for Walter
3+4) Sooky handout flogs -
Duursma + McKercher
5) Hawks - Watson
6) Dogs - Curtin/Sanders

Changes if North trade one of their picks for Reid you’d imagine Eagles take Curtin and one of McKercher/Duursma falls

Well they know exactly how stupid the Shinbeggars were to pay that price so they're not going to make the same mistake now, are they?
there is no way you defend that trade, fwiw i cant think of a worse trade under the circumstances, when he said he wouldn't walk to the PSD we shoulda walked away. simple as that, and trust me iam comparing that to some pretty atrocious list management decisions in the last 5 years.

This lad has been talked up as the best kid for 2 years.

Last year Shifter had him at 3 in the draft as a 17 year old. He is a freak.

Eagles are never handing him over easily in case he becomes an absolute superstar of the competition, and they will be talked about for the next 20 years as the biggest drafting mistake ever.

Pick 2 and 3 is a fair deal. The beggers still have another 5 first rounders over the next 2 years after pick 2 and 3 is gone

Yup our midfield improving despite being the most inexperienced in the comp isn't a win at all.

To be fair Jenkins is just comparing all of the things we were winning and getting lauded for in the few years before Titch left....... vs. the quantifiable, obvious and statistically provable dramatic improvement of our talented young core in 2023.

I wouldn't want to be that guy's kids if they're short. Not a great deal to look forward to otherwise.

North are probably the only club in the last 10 years bar the expansion clubs that could give up Picks 2 and 3 and still have another 4 first round picks across 2 years.

Yeah he is like an adult playing amongst kids out there, if Hawthorn had pick 1 I would be asking North for it all
