I'd say the jury's still out on whether Ginnivan is an upgrade on Brockman. I'd prefer to keep Brockman (if that was an option)
Big time.

Losing Brocky stings..I can see definite Charlie Cameron type potential there...only seen in snippets with us, but some elite moments hinted at the player he could become

Ginnivan will nominate the Hawks, it said it on his wiki page last week lol

Seriously, l had a feeling something was brewing today and it definitely is. Ginnivan brings two things if we get him.
X factor and a player fans love to hate.

You quickly realise that these ex AFL players really don't have a great deal of knowledge of other teams.

Phill thinks we will win less games next year 🫠

I think that is possible, we are no lock to improve next year although i think we will.

The talk around our midfield was pretty baffling, analysing a list and giving no mention of the core group of young mids coming through.

The tl;dr was Sicily and Lewis good, Breust good, the rest are meh.

The most basic lazy overview that would be criticised if it was a 10 year olds school homework.

So after a really quick google there is an article from 2021 saying the list sizes are going to be set to a max of 38 plus up to 6 rookies meaning a maximum of 44

If all of Long, Greene and Bramble and not brought back I think that after a really quick scan I think we are at 32 primary list players and 4 rookies (these numbers could be wrong)

I am unsure on Blanck (was a rookie but might be main list now), same with Mitchell, when he signed his extension was it to upgrade him at draft?

I have them both as primary list but I could be wrong

If I am then we are okay, if they are primary list then it would stand to reason that Gunston mightnt be able to head back unless someone is delisted that is under contract

AFL is doing their usual s**t to create a stage managed finish with 10 minutes to go tomorrow.

I think the two weeks is necessary, even if we don't see much action on the surface. There are a lot of calls and discussions to be had as clubs figure out how all the trades will fall and what will finally be available. Plus, it takes a little time to absorb that you may need to do a deal for something different than you thought. So, yeah, it all gets filed in the last 10 minutes but phones are ringing hot for the whole two weeks.

future second rounder from Brisbane likely to be around pick 50. I'd rather see how Ryan develops.

How does the Lions' future second rounder end up as a third round pick? Is it cursed or something?

I am in the keep him camp but the Lions second being around 50? Yeah nah.

Brisbane has pick 30, I'd be open to that, probably not going to happen. Only other possibility would be Bribane offering the rest of their picks (47, 51, 61, 67). We could use the draft points.

If they make the GF next year there is no way it'll be pick 40. Are you saying that they will take a dive on the ladder next year?

Last year round 2 was picks 22-38 after bidding etc. There is no way the second round ever gets pushed back into the 50s.
