2022’s forward line was better if not equal with what we will be putting out next year.

2022 looked like this
Moore-Kosi-Wings
Gunston-Lewis-Breust

We are hoping a VFL level player, a fairly cooked Gunston and a fringe best 22 forward who can kick a goal but refuses to do anything defensive will lead us up the ladder.

Sure if we got Chol and Ginnivan motivated and focussed they can put in some good performances. Still a long way off the forward line we need to be building.
We are miles off.
We haven't added a genuine best 22 player even if we land all of Chol, Ginnivan, Gunston and D'Ambrosio.

But we need players this year with Kosi, Brockman and Wingard out. So we've restocked.

That 2022 forward line was being fed by one of the worst midfields in recent memory

Boss will check the calendar...but I am fine with that

Doesn’t appear in your calendar. Just click ‘start meeting’ and don’t invite anyone in. I think it can appear in log files if you have snoopy IT though.

Not my argument, and frankly, I don't care.

Just pointing out that just because we played better whilst Brockman was in the side, doesn't (by definition) mean that we played better BECAUSE Brockman was in the side.

But again, I dont really care.

Please do be careful not to fall into that hole you just ripped in the space time continuum.

Our midfield definitely wasn’t doing that forward line any favours. Still it wasn’t a forward line that would do damage in September (maybe if Breust, Wings and Gunston where a few years younger it would).

We needed a restock of our forward line with players going out or injured. We did the best we could given who was available. It just doesn’t fill me with much optimism going into next year. Especially when compared to our midfield group which does.

Off the top my head, these are the current list of Hawthorn players that grew up supporting the club. Let me know if I’ve missed anyone.

Scrimshaw
Moore
C.MacDonald
B.MacDonald
Long
Ward
MacKenzie
Stephens
Ramsden
Ginnivan
