Either the club have been keeping Oscar Adams under the radar, or trading Doug's says we will be on the wrong side of that supply demand equation after we trade him.

Dougs best role is at CHB.

Battle is a better intercept mark, better kick and better swing man so he is in front currently.

Cordy has been deployed to FB and been fantastic. One of the recruits of the year if you look at his impact as a forward to start the season and now as a defender to finish.

Howard is still a solid player but in the RTB power rankings he's 3rd in line now. Given his contract status and potential value, it makes sense to cash him in and recruit another Cordy type cast off for half the money.

Pick 27 (Essendon)
Pick 29 (Hawthorn)
Pick 30 (Sydney)

All of these are probably fair value from the teams looking to recruit a KPD this off season.

I wonder if Port would look at Howard ? They are a bit light on for KPDs and are in the premiership window.

They are grabbing BZT from the Bombers.

No idea why, he's not a FB. Gets mauled by the bigger forwards.

What are the chances we get Flanders and GC pick 4?

In exchange for what?

Flanders isn't a salary dump so not gonna get a Bowes to Geelong type bargain.

No reason Nas can't stay on a HBF for his career. just 10-15 years of elite run and kicking out of the defensive half to bust open any zones.

He's only got better as the seasons gone on and was stiff to miss AA squad (compare his stats to Redman's and he comes out on top)

Imagine how much better and confident he'll be with 100 games under his belt.

We're going to get use to Nas rolling off half back with two bounces and hitting out either King with a 50m bullet.
Nas is an absolute gun. Was a bit unsettled last year, a young kid terribly homesick.
Wanted to go home, his dad told him to be a man and honour his two years contract.

Mason Wood took him under his wing, and moved home in with him and settled him.

At the same time the club had a monumental shift with Lyon and his team coming on board, resulting in him extending his contract.
Kudo's to his family, his teammates Nas himself and the club in settling the young man.
He wouldn't be playing the football he is without him being happy and settled.

A complete good news story.

Gresh to Hawks would probably be decent for us, seems like there's trade goodwill between the clubs and they could see him as a Wingard replacement (structurally speaking) as it looks like Chad may not take the field again. Would love to try and package him with a pick for one of their premium young midfielders but that won't happen.

Surely Port only gets one of Esava or BZT, personally I would go hard for whichever one Port doesn't get and the minute we know they are signing with us then Doogs goes to Sydney or wherever for whatever we can get for him (within reason). Hopefully that is a wash in terms of the pick we use and the pick we get.

If North still want Clark, I'd trade him for Pick 39 and maybe a swap of future 3rd / 4th rounders. I was a big fan but he just isn't showing enough and I don't see a place for him in the team at all moving forward, any time in the midfield I'd want given to Windy / Pou / Chito and even Coff if he is right.

Package the Gresh & Clark picks to get as high as we can in the draft for best available young mid.

King/Hayes/Coops/Hammer is a lot of kpf type forwards but I'd keep them all. Wouldn't dream of trading Membrey either.

So which mid's would you be aiming for in the draft?

Don't honestly know, I don't know enough about U18s to comment so I'd take the consensus from others on best available. It's just such a glaring problem area for us I think we need to keep drafting and hope we get it right.

We already have Windy, Chito and Pou looking like a great midfield group about 2 - 3 years hence, just want to keep building around that core.

Unfortunately it’s not just an overly strong draft for midfielders unless you have a top 5 pick

If Hawthorn offers Gresh a package and we match purely to force a trade (which is a super risky move, I'd totally melt if we kept him on good+ coin) do you see a way of packaging Gresh plus something (or a few things) for Pick 3?

I imagine the major appeal in chasing Gresh is Hawthorn don't need to give anything up apart from cap room. If it suddenly comes to costing a first round pick they aren't doing it.
