Lots of coulds, woulds and maybe’s..

can we wait till 2025 before we finally get that talented young mid in?.. who will then take 2 to 3 years before he starts hitting his straps?..
There’s more coulds, woulds and maybes with him projecting above our f1 is there not?

Who? tyler?..

are you suggesting we may end up coming bottom 3 next year?..

The last 2024 draft predictor that came out a couple of weeks back had him at pick 3..

Yes… lots and lots of water to go under the bridge still.. he definitely could slide..

but what if he comes out all guns blazing next season and becomes a clear number 1?..

as I said.. we just dont fxxkn know.. which makes shifting picks from this year into next year fraught with danger.. we could end up simply having to shift them again next year.. thus kicking the can further down the road.

Well given we aren’t going to pick up early mid next year nor this year we’re kinda stuffed. Can’t see us outbidding bulldogs and from what I’ve read it’s a bit average after 5/6?

Seriously?

Haynes is completely cooked.

Haynes is not a key position player.

Why take him on for a pick & clog our list when we have plenty of picks, but need ready to go players.

We are better off spending our cap space on decent players not completely cooked ones... or front loading current young player contracts if we can't land anyone.
He only has one year left on his deal.

I can't imagine them giving up pick 15 so that someone takes it, but to get a decent pick for one year of a bad deal would be good business.

Who cares what he offers as a player. This would just be buying a pick, which I'm fine with.

I know this has been posted, but if you go to their feed they've gotten pretty much everything right so far.

So basically..

If they have gotten “pretty much everything right so far”..

Then we arent getting Phillipou!..

Casue thats what they are saying in that tweet.

Now be honest, how much of Burgess have you actually watched?

Because he's a fair bit better than the emoticon you've used there especially with the veratility to play multiple roles.
Come on. He has been a reserves player for 2 years.
Could he do a role? Sure.
Will he be a factor in us improving?

Probably not.

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating, he's an excellent pick up at what will be a very cheap pick up with the versatility he offers up.
Like I said. Could play a role.
Losing Doedee, Murray most of the year ACL, losing McAdam.

Only Burgess in so far.

Whilst I think some of our youth should improve, I don't necessarily think it will translate into guaranteed top 8.

Excellent is overblowing it a bit

For sure a good, smart pickup given we need an experienced depth tall, but like 1990 said, it’s not necessarily moving the needle

But still couldn't get a spot in a team that was 4th from the bottom. I reckon the emoji is spot on.
