Seriously? What about that post bothered you?
We have a shortage of list spots & a plethora of picks, so this strategy is crazy for our position. If you read correctly you'll know the player is irrelevant to the pick that comes with it.
We are in the age of salary dumping Kane. The pick is carrot, not the player.
Catch up or miss out!
A 1.2 million dollar player thats cooked?..If you read correctly you'll know the player is irrelevant to the pick that comes with it.

Can we beat that and is it worth the cost?
We are talking about 12 months from now (when Haynes Contract expires). Not to mention Sloanes, Smith's, Walkers, Parnells, McHenry's, Cooks plus a bunch of others. We have a shortage of list spots & a plethora of picks, so this strategy is crazy for our position.
We could beat it easily if we wanted to, but it's too much.We could beat it if we could trade 2 or 3 of our seconds for a first this year..
And give that first, plus 9 and our F1 to the suns for it..
Or we trade 2 of our seconds to port so they can use them on sweet, rat or bzt.. for ports f1..
So our f1, 9 and ports f1.. which I reacon the suns would go for over 10, 17 and f1 from the bulldogs..
Suns would love to grab a heap of capital in next years draft while still paying for their 3 academy lads this year..
I'd want a F1, I like the Mids next yearA 1.2 million dollar player thats cooked?..
We’d want to be getting pick 6 AND 15 for him.
No reason?..I think people are seeing a 32 year-old earning $1.2m a year and not getting a game and saying the only interest should come if they pay us to take him.
Which is fair enough, but there's no reason for GWS to do that
Ahhh memories...I was the chess champion at my school. We are talking about 12 months from now (when Haynes Contract expires). Not to mention Sloanes, Smith's, Walkers, Parnells, McHenry's, Cooks plus a bunch of others.
List spots will be fine, and TBH, I wouldn't want to use that many picks that year anyway. The point isn't to bring in players but leapfrog trade out pick like GWS did in the Tom Green draft.
Gotta look at the entire chess board mate, not just the castle in front of you
& their future 1st.A 1.2 million dollar player thats cooked?..
We’d want to be getting pick 6 AND 15 for him.
Yeah…I'd want a F1, I like the Mids next year
I don't think I've ever seen a team complain about having too many 1st rounders in a strong midfield draft ClamYeah…
Then tyler welsh has a bumper year.. stays in top 3 contention (where he has been for a while now)..
And we’re fccked..
We have to then trade that f1 into 2025..
Kicking the can even further down the road.
We need midfield talent NOW.
I dont mind taking on haine’s 1.2 mill contract..Ahhh memories...I was the chess champion at my school.
Even beat the teachers.
So I understand strategy given our hand.
We are better off using our picks to move up the draft order than fill up our cap & play 1 short on our list.
We should be using our cap space to bring in a gun player with a long term deal... & we front load our younger players til we do.
I would only be willing to take on Haynes if they also added one of their gun midfielders.I dont mind taking on haine’s 1.2 mill contract..
If the GWS clowns give us pick 6 and 15 to do so.. we’ll throw himm back to them for good faith in the deal.
If not.. I dont wanna know about it and they can continue being hamstrung having him and his contract on their books..
Well agree to disagree mate.Ahhh memories...I was the chess champion at my school.
Even beat the teachers.

You know how it works though..I don't think I've ever seen a team complain about having too many 1st rounders in a strong midfield draft Clam

Come on old wise one, feel free to let us know how it is done...Nothing wrong with what he said, unlike your Partridge impression
I'm all for kicking the can to the substantially better midfielder draft. You know how it works though..
Not much point having them if you have a F/s thats gonna attract an early bid which will suck them straight up..
Look at the suns right now.. they have pick 4.. they believe that MAYBE one of their academy lads is gonna get bid on before pick 4.. so now they are having to get rid of pick 4.
The bonus for them is they also have two other academy lads to pick up too.. and a midfield stacked with decent youngsters about to hit their straps.
So they can afford to kick the can down the road.
We cant. We need midfield bolstering talent now.
Its fxxked.
Yeah but there’s an auction for it, they are going to get overs (points) for what it’s worth.Look at the suns right now.. they have pick 4.. they believe that MAYBE one of their academy lads is gonna get bid on before pick 4.. so now they are having to get rid of pick 4.
Lots of coulds, woulds and maybe’s..Yeah but there’s an auction for it, they are going to get overs (points) for what it’s worth.
Welsh could easily bomb out next year too.
