That doesn't stop anyone from having a go at picking who they think will be the best....put it out there for future reference.Good luck to anyone who can predict the best player in this Draft
Personally I think young Langford will end up the best player of this draft. That doesn't stop anyone from having a go at picking who they think will be the best....put it out there for future reference.
I've been meaning to ask that question myself. A couple of days ago you posted a twitter post, listing all of the F/S and Academy nominations for the ND. Were they on that list?Have they committed taking the Campo twins?
Could get interesting if a bid comes in earlier than they anticipate?
I do like Lalor as well, but for mine the best player in this draft will be Langford for the reasons outlined below:OK I've been on the record for over 18 months now who I think the best player in this draft will be, long long before Sam Lalor was spoken about as a pick 1 possibility, let's have yours?
Yes, contested markers always have a bit of a head start over others .....I'm still not 100% on Langford as a CBA MIDPersonally I think young Langford will end up the best player of this draft.
Lalor IMO is a better forward than Langford if that's a requisite of the mid we take.Yes, contested markers always have a bit of a head start over others .....I'm still not 100% on Langford as a CBA MID
Langford could spend a lot of time FWD ...or start FWD and and move into the Midfield after the CBA
With the 6x6x6 now, you need mids with dancing feet, and/or a sidestep
Maybe you can succeed where everyone else has tapped out and tell me is the wing midfield, forward or defence? Or are you just trolling?Time to have a little lie down I think. Way off track here. Actually not sure if full on trolling.
Langford has a decent sidestep.Yes, contested markers always have a bit of a head start over others .....I'm still not 100% on Langford as a CBA MID

Wing is midfield, like ruck is midfield.Maybe you can succeed where everyone else has tapped out and tell me is the wing midfield, forward or defence? Or are you just trolling?
I still think people need to not look at the very open U18's gamestyle .....but look at how the player may transition to a quicker & denser AFL environmentLangford has a decent sidestep.
He also seems pretty hard to chase down once he's up and going, so it's just those first few steps that are the knock.
Don't mind him, probably not my number one but not upset if we select him.
Goodbye. I won’t be saying anything further to you (or reading anything) as of 5 seconds time from nowMaybe you can succeed where everyone else has tapped out and tell me is the wing midfield, forward or defence? Or are you just trolling?
Rubbish, Rachele still makes the top 10 in a redraft, and those few who have moved above him may not stay above him - NWM my only exception, who was our next pick.TT was a no brainer, best junior in the state for years. Doubt many or any would take Rachele at 5 given the chance again. You know we didn’t draft Rankine yeah? Jury well and truly out on Curtin.
Piss off with the apologists garbage. No, started by saying our early drafting hasn’t been good so we might as well stay at 4 and get who comes through. Was then twisted by apologists because the last 4 years look better than the wasteland of the 6 years before that.
I think it will be Jagga. That doesn't stop anyone from having a go at picking who they think will be the best....put it out there for future reference.
Don't use statistics in any argument, apparently they hold no bearing.
I disagree. And you’ve done nothing to support your view.Piss off with the apologists garbage.
If you're going to bitch about things, it's up to you to make a convincing case.
So far, you've done nothing to support the idea that the Crow's first round failures are vastly more than industry average.
No one has suggested we're great. People are only saying we do about as shit as most teams do, because the draft had a reasonably high failure rate.
How many failed directly after Gallucci? That was my point. You're over rating those back end of the first round picks.
VERY disappointing, but a lot fail every year from there.
spenze called Lalor firstOK I've been on the record for over 18 months now who I think the best player in this draft will be, long long before Sam Lalor was spoken about as a pick 1 possibility, let's have yours?
Yep and continues to sprout the bullshit McAseys mental health was the reason he failed just because he would have to admit his opinion on McAsey was wrong. It’s also hypocritical to use mental health as an excuse when he’s gone on record a number of times criticising people using mental health as an excuse. He didn't use statistics in his argument, he alluded to them, but he provided none. It would be interesting to see his analysis of every club's first round drafting over the last near decade. Reality is though that he's done none and has just manufactured that analysis outcome out of thin air.
The apologists for our terrible early drafting define the acceptance of mediocrity that now characterises too many Crows supporters. Our drafting team are doing a great job because anyone taken outside the top 10 can’t be any good anyway (all the while ignoring top 10 busts McAsey and Jones).
Same people tomorrow will be crying that we don’t have more later picks in this year’s draft because all of a sudden those picks are valuable again.
All smug and smart until you had to back it up with facts. Then turn and run. Nobody is surprised.Goodbye. I won’t be saying anything further to you (or reading anything) as of 5 seconds time from now
